When you are travelling wit kids, your city trips and vacations require different types of activities then when you are travelling with your friends. Less party and more exploration, more excitement and less breakable items, are all important for fun family holidays. Some might be tempted to stick to campsites for their family holidays but city trips offer lots of things to do with kids.

Fun for the whole family

Clubbing might not be part of your city trip if you are travelling with children but because people with kids actually live in cities, you’ll find plenty of family-friendly attractions there. From interactive museums such as Skansen in Stockholm and Madurodam near Rotterdam, to theme parks like Tivoli in Copenhagen and Efteling in the Netherlands, and attractions like the LEGOLAND Discovery Centre and Little Big City in Berlin, there is no shortage of fun things to do with family.

Spending time amongst some animals is another fun family activity. You can choose to visit a zoo, such as ARTIS in Amsterdam and Diergaarde Blijdorp in Rotterdam, or an aquarium like Sea Life in Berlin and Blå Planet in Copenhagen. Truly there is no end of fun things to do in cities with kids.
