The tulip park is open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., with last entry at 6.15 p.m. We provide access with entry tickets and direct bus transport from the centre of Amsterdam. Once at Keukenhof, there are many events to enjoy. You will be amazed by the flower exhibitions in the pavilions. First of all, there is the colourful and fragrant Hyacinth and Tulip Show. Then there is the Anthurium and Orchid Show (every week, in the Juliana Pavilion) with beautiful, exotic flowers that create a tropical atmosphere. These shows present dozens of flower varieties in the most beautiful way they can be grown. It is truly enchanting!

Flowers in bloom: when does which flower bloom?

In spring, Keukenhof is beautiful and everywhere you look you can see tulips and other flowers in different colours. However, the preparations start much earlier. Last October, more than 7 million flower bulbs were planted throughout the park. This is not done by machines, but simply done by hand by 50 gardeners. This careful planning is necessary because not every flower grows at the same time. When you visit Keukenhof, the time of year decides which flowers you will see in full bloom. In early spring, between March and early April, the first flowers to appear are small tulips, hyacinths and daffodils. Between early April and mid-April, the large tulips begin to bloom. And towards the end of spring, the last tulips blossom, along with the irises. Thanks to the work of the gardeners, Keukenhof remains a colourful floral paradise for all its visitors throughout the season.
