This first edition attracted 25,000 people and the second edition 35,000. And last year there was a daily Amsterdam Music Festival at various locations in Amsterdam attracting three times as many people. In 2016 the Amsterdam Music Festival organizers decided to expand the event to eight events on five evenings in three different venues: Amsterdam ArenA, Heineken Music Hall, and Ziggo Dome. With an opening night, a closing night and two ArenA shows, the fourth edition of the AMF was the biggest festival during the Amsterdam Dance Event.
