| A tour throught Dark Amsterdam can be rather illuminating because of the visit to the famous Red Light District. The excursion starts at a prostitue information centre, where we will offer you a drink. A former prostitute will explain the system and you will be able to ask any questions you may have. The visit to the 'Wallen', Red Light District is perhaps the most interesting part of this tour. There you can see, live, ‘the oldest profession of the world’. The tour continues passing old monuments and leading you through narrow streets. One of them the famous ‘Zeedijk’, a street where sailors in the past were looking for amusement. Nowadays, because of the dissapearance of the harbour, the shady bars have been replaced by typical Dutch pubs. They are centainly not dangerous anymore.
