Rotterdam Pride March 2023
On 2 June 2023, Rotterdam Pride gets going with its annual Pride March. At 7 in the evening, the demonstration starts at the Kruisplein, in front of Rotterdam Central Station. Fifteen minutes later, the March starts moving along its 3 km-long wheelchair friendly route, to arrive at the Schouwburgplein around 2 hours later.
The 2023 Rotterdam Pride March aims to remind the city, the country and the rest of the world that everyone should be able to be themselves, and to remember where we’ve come from. The route of the March is filled with symbols that are valued by the LGBTQIA+ community and heroes who have fought for their emancipation, bot locally and internationally.
Everyone is invited to the Pride March. Community members, friends, family and allies are all welcome to join in and bring banners, flags, music and heaps of love. It will be hard to miss this Pride March as making noise and being noticed is exactly what is hoped for.
Rotterdam Pride Festival 2023
On Saturday June 3rd 2023, the Willemsplein at the foot of the iconic Erasmus Bridge will be home to a party you don’t want to miss. From 1 in the afternoon till 11 at night there will be a scintillating line-up with drag queens, DJs and iconic artists. The only hard part about this day is choosing whether to also visit the Utrecht Pride Canal Parade.
If you are not done celebrating yet when the festival comes to a close, you can head to Perron, where My ID and Blush team up to organise the Rotterdam Pride Festival Afterparty. Throughout the night and into the early hours of the morning artists such as Nems, Frandy Perez, Rockafellababe and Imani will keep the party going.
Pride Talks & Karaoke Closing Night
Throughout the week there are several Pride Talks, consisting of lectures and conversations about what is happening in the LGBTQIA+ community in Rotterdam and around the world. While many of the Pride Talks are in Dutch, there also English events such as the Pride Talk: Sexy Queer.
After a day filled with a Drag brunch and a Catwalk class, Rotterdam Pride 2023 comes to a close on 11 June with a fabulous karaoke party. At Altijd in de buurt, you can come to sing and dance the night away. Bring your best moves and be ready to start singing the moment you walk through the door.
