Arctic exploration at the Amsterdam Icebar
The Amsterdam Icebar has two bars, the ‘regular’ bar and the ice bar. As you enter, you step into the regular bar, where you can enjoy your first free drink of the night, in exchange for a golden token which you get when you enter the bar. When you’ve enjoyed your drink, you’ll be introduced to Willem Barentz, captain of the Mercury and arctic explorer. Join him on board to make your way into the ice bar, where the ship has gotten stranded in the ice.
Before you step inside the ice bar, you’ll be handed warm clothing such as a coat and gloves to survive the -10°C interior. In the ice bar, you are surrounded by ice, from the walls to the ice sculptures and the glasses served at the bar. In this frozen world you can exchange your two silver tokens for two more drinks.
The Netherlands and House music: a perfect match
Our House is the first electronic dance music experience where you can come and explore the evolution of electronic music. Once inside, you can start your 75-minute long journey with a free drink before exploring the story of how EDM evolved from a rebellious underground community into a global cultural phenomenon. The journey consists of shows, which will take you right back to very first warehouse nights and bring salutes to the most fundamental clubs and festivals, as well as displays and interactive exhibits.
The Netherlands is not the birthplace of House music or EDM but when the Netherlands caught on, it never let go and quickly developed its own style of electronic music called gabber, which is now often referred to as early hardcore. For years now, Dutch DJs have had a lock on the top spots in the Top 100 DJ list from DJ Mag and EDM has become one of the biggest cultural exports of the country.
Our House covers 40 years of House music and contains contributions by many legendary DJs and event organisers, including Armin van Buuren, Carl Cox, Charlotte de Witte, Diplo, Kevin Saunderson, Tomorrowland, Ultra Music Festival, ID&T and The Frankie Knuckles Foundation.

Nice experience
Nice experience! Staff was great and very funny! We had a great time! We were already dressed for the cold so we stayed inside the bar during the whole time !
Good place
Had a fab time here a couple of days ago and lasted longer in the ice room than I thought. Only fault, we turned up at 3pm which we had booked a few weeks prior to be told then don't open until 3.45. I think they should have emailed us to let us know of their change of opening times

Best bar! Top!! Nice people. 100% recomended. Inside de ice bar is surreal, with ice sculptures and almost -10 degrees. Go visit!!

Bar con un concepto diferente
Es realmente diferente la experiencia de La cabina de hielo. Las bebidas que se sieven en dicho espacio buenas. Como visita corta es una buena experiencia.
Perfecto! El lugar es buenísimo y los tragos buenos. La gente es súper linda y los meseros también muy amables.

Wer es noch nie gemacht hat auf jeden Fall lohnenswert. Die Einführung war sehr gut und unterhaltsam. Auch die Kühlkammer ist super aufgebaut.

Zeer leuke ervaring in een hele gave omgeving. Spontane ontvangst door het hele personeel. Met name Boris!! Echt gezellig, zeker een aanrader als je in Amsterdam bent

Rolig upplevelse, det ingår tre drickor (öl, drinkar och shorts) i priset. Ta en extra tröja och halsduk för det var VÄLDIGT kallt! Trevlig och serviceminded personal!
Super cool isbar!
Vilken cool upplevelse! Rekommenderas varmt! När du kom till stället fick du först sitta i detas vanliga bar och ta något ich dricka medan du fick vänta tills din tid var för att få besöka isbaren. Endast ett antal fick gå in samtidigt. Precis innan du fick gå in fick du låna varma kläder. När du kom in till isbaren fick du ett glas som var gjort av is. Du blev erbjuden både alkohol och alkohol fritt alternativ. Väldigt häftigt! Jag rekommenderar att man tar med egna vantar och en mössa för det blir kallare än vad man tror, eftersom det alltid är max -10 grader inne i isbaren.

Sjovt og "koldt"
Det er som de fleste andre Ice Bar - men herinde har de noget specielt vodka med forskellige smage der er klart anbefalingsværdige :-) Derudover kan man i den anden bar (den varme) sidde og nyde drinks bagefer...

This Is Our House and Our House Music
If you're a fan of electronic music, especially House, obviously. This is a fun experience. Grab a drink, play with mixers, sequencers and beat makers or just put on your favourite tunes and look at all the cool stuff around like one of Daft Punk's helmet. The cocktails were pretty good, fairly priced for Amsterdam and the staff were just the best. The bartenders and staff I met while walking in were all amazingly friendly and just good happy people. The finale was excellent, SPOILERS Warning, the dance floor moves. So when the bass drops, the actual dance floor drops and it is just the best feeling. Also, strobe lights, laser beam lights, pyrotechnics and a moving rigging combines with a House montage of it's history, accomplished with a megamix. It was part history and part celebration of what the House community have accomplished through the years. Celebrating the many artists here and lost that made the music we love. So if you do not love house music or dance music in general then don't come. The tour I was in, had many who just came despite not actually being into the music, such a waste. But if you do love to party, you do love dance music, even if it's not House, there's fun to be had here.

Sick place! If you are in to electronic music this place is a NEED to go. The technic is next level. Hope to go again when im back in amsterdam!

Booked this to give our older teenager something more aligned to his interests on our holiday. Wasn’t sure what to expect, it was either going to be cheesy or way out there. Have read some of the other reviews and all I can say is that there was a whole load of people with big grins on their faces at the end of this experience - and most importantly one of those was our teenager. Job done.

The event was memorable. They have everything I've wanted. We really enjoyed ourselves. I'd like to revisit.

Leuke interactieve experience. Geschiedenis van 40 jaar house muziek. Zelf maak ik al 30 jaar deel uit van de scene en ik zag veel voorbij komen van feesten en festivals waar ik heb gedraaid. Leuk om interactief de flyers te bekijken, te samplen of mixen.

Fantastische ervaring in het Museum, echte experience met veel verschillende muziekstijlen en leuk om naar toe te gaan.
