At RTXP Amsterdam you can immerse yourself in the beauty of 500 years of art. In the heart of Amsterdam, near the Heineken Experience, replicas of 50 of the most famous paintings in the world have been brought together. The paintings are presented in chronological order, so that you can see how the art of painting evolved over time.
The journey starts in the Renaissance with Hieronymus Bosch’s world-famous triptych The Garden of Earthly Delights, which hangs in the Museo Nacional del Prado in Madrid. Other Renaissance pieces you’ll see along the way include Da Vinci’s Mona Lisa from the Louvre in Paris and Botticelli’s The Birth of Venus from the Uffizi Gallery in Florence.
Rembrandt’s Night Watch from the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam and Jan Vermeer’s Girl with a Pearl Earring from the Mauritshuis in Den Hague bring you forward to the Baroque period. From there you’ll make your way through Romanticism, Impressionism, Expressionism and all the way to Modern Art. You’ll see works by Van Gogh, Monet, Degas, Renoir, Kandinsky, Kahlo, Mondrian and many other world-famous painters who have shaped art history.
