Photo spot 1. Armbrug
The Armbrug literally means ‘’armbridge’’ in Dutch. However, the bridge itself is not very photo worthy. To make a great photo we advise you to stand on the bridge in front of Café ‘Aen’t Water.’ From here, you’ll enjoy a great view of the narrow canal houses, it kind of looks like the houses are floating above the water. Definitely photo material!
Photo spot 2. Damrak
Damrak is the beating heart of the city centre. The street is home to a lot of popular stores, like Primark. And it’s also a perfect spot for a photo session. The iconic canal shot photo which you see on all Instagram feeds about Amsterdam is taken here!
Photo spot 3. Museum Square
Museum Square is a hotspot in the city centre of Amsterdam. Every season there are a lot of events hosted at this place. And no wonder for good reason, the square is the perfect decor for beautiful shots with the Rijksmuseum in the background. Unfortunately, they removed the ‘I Amsterdam’ sign in 2018, but the square still looks fantastic! And besides taking some shots, you can also visit the Rijksmuseum.

Imposing buildings, a lot of pigeons and new faces. Dam Square is the perfect decor for some cool shots. At Dam Square, you also find the Madame Tussauds museum with highly-detailed wax replicas of famous people.

Begijnhof has a lot of history! The place is established in the Middle Ages, so you can find a lot of character here. Begijnhof is a true hidden gem in busy Amsterdam.

Most of you will start your adventure in Amsterdam at Central Station. It’s the most central place and also an eyecatcher. The building is from 1881 and has a lot of details. Grab your camera and let the magic happen!

The so-called Bloemenmarkt is one of the most colorful attractions in Amsterdam. The cute flower stores are floating on the water. If you stand behind the Bloemenmarkt you can get some cool shots from it. Definitely worth a try!

The Red Light District is the area where you can find prostitutes but it’s way more than that! The canals, narrow streets and welcoming cafes make it a place you don’t want to miss during your visit. In the evening the lights of the district give it a mysterious atmosphere, which makes it the perfect area for some landscape shots. Please be aware that you’re not allowed to take pictures of the prostitutes.
