Tivoli is one of the oldest attractions in the world and The Tube is one of the newest attractions in Copenhagen, having opened its doors in March 2023. Together they give you an unprecedented experience of Copenhagen. There is the calm of Tivoli’s gardens and the rush of The Tube’s immersive rooms.
Both attractions are great fun for families and friends. Because you can re-enter Tivoli multiple times, as long as you get a stamp from the guard in the Tivoli Food Hall, you can even visit The Tube in the middle of the day, without losing out on time in the beautiful park. From the Tivoli Food Hall, you can simply cross the road to Copenhagen Central Station to visit The Tube. Walking from one attraction to the other will take you less than 5 minutes.
While Tivoli is home to some great rides, the park’s gardens are what make it such a unique experience. The different gardens throughout the park, give you different sensory experiences, though all offer a quiet retreat from the busy city beyond the gates. The Orangery has an easy, yet exotic and nostalgic feeling, while at the Nimb Water Fountains you can see beautiful flowers as the occasional peacock wonders by.
The Pergola Gardens show you the beauty of edible plants, the Chinese inspired Bamboo Forest is filled with bamboo and rhododendrons, and the Parterre Gardens is one of Tivoli’s most unique areas with its herbaceous perennials, flowering bushes and bulbs. All this means, that while the rides are not included with your ticket, you are sure to enjoy your time in Tivoli’s gardens.
The Tube Copenhagen is an experience unlike any other in Copenhagen. Here, your senses of balance, depth and direction, space and time will all be challenged and never feel quite the same again. The Tube Copenhagen is a place where you can find your inner child, become a Viking and get lost in unending rooms.
The Tube takes you on a storytelling journey in a time of instant fame. You can come play in the massive ball pit, lose your sense of balance in the Vortex tunnel, and trigger memories with The Tube’s Secret Scents. Throughout the entire experience you can take photos from the best angles with The Tube’s own photo system which you can print at the end of the experience or, of course, with your own camera or phone.

So much better than expected! My parents and I (26) had so much fun, interesting and unique experience. Must see! Ps: might not be a good experience for people that get sensory overloaded frequently. Lots of lights and textures, with no clear way out in the middle of the experience.

Fun since the first moment. A wide variety of experiences, all so different from the previous, and that last for as long as you want to keep on having fun. Almost felt like starting over again right after finishing, nearly one hour went by and it didn't even feel like 20 minutes have passed. Quite friendly and welcoming staff too!

It was conveniently located inside the central station across from Tivoli. Very friendly staffs. It was a short but fun experience. I am not sure about the snakes hanging on a through way. Bathrooms are located in the middle of the experience, and they are clean and free of charge.

I just wanted to thank the whole team, but specially Florencia since she made this experience unforgettable for us. I went with some of my friends and it felt like she was part of the group as well! 10/10 I will be coming back soon to have more fun. PS: she took great pictures of us

We loved the Tube! Great interactive exhibits at an inexpensive price. We took lots of pictures and videos. It is also very conveniently located and doesn’t take a lot of time to go through it all. Highly recommend!

Very sweet experience, after walking the whole day, we wanted an indoor activity and we came here

Where to start? Hmmm? I LOVED IT SO MUCH! It was an unforgettable experience and I would do it again instantly! The rides were all awesome and they all lit up brightly at night. I love roller coasters 🎢 so I was rushing to get to them before the park closed at 11pm. We started our day as soon as the park opened. It rained rain I have never experienced before but that was kind of a good thing tbh because it meant that we could just walk onto all the rides with practically ZERO queues. I went on the demon 5 times and each time got better and better. The food court was so nice and the food was lovely. All the staff are so kind and funny. I really want to go back again!

Great fun! Lots of games and nice things to do. We went in the morning for the rides and came back for the light show in the evening. The queues were shorter in the evening.

The park is amazing, we loved it and had a great time. We spent several hours in the park and the children didn't want to leave!

Tivoli Gardens is a must when visiting Copenhagen. The world's second-oldest amusement park and inspiration to Walt Disney. Spent the entire day amongst the gardens with a great variety of vintage rides, restaurants and eateries. The day ended with a live music concert, spectacular light show and fireworks.

It is indeed pretty, and there are lots of place to sit and eat and drink. We sat for a while with coffee and cake. Fountains and landscaping and things for the kids. A definite part of your tour of the city.

LOVED Tivoli! My mom and I (in my 20s) enjoyed walking around and riding the rides! Had entrance included as part of CPH pass and bought the ride pass which was more than worth it. We loved the Roller Coaster and the Star Flyer. The Flying Trunk is an experience everyone should do… you’ll never forget it lol. It’s a beautiful park and so whimsical, must do! We spent the half day there and it was the perfect amount of time. It calmed down in the evening.

Wonderful time. A must visit place in Copenhagen. You can see where Walt Disney “got” his ideas. Ate at Nimb, and had a wonderful meal. Highly recommend!

Tivoli amusement park and gardens established in 1843 is the second oldest in the world and is really something else with some cool old fashioned rides and some that look old that have but supped up. Lots of family fun and quite intoxicating just watching. Plenty to see and do for all ages.

I was genuinely on the fence about going to Tivoli Gardens as I had heard very mixed reviews [in fact people said to “skip it”] but we had a lovely evening strolling around. What I loved was the innocent charm. We arrived before dark which is a nice time to go as it allowed for experiencing the park in daylight and then the magical transformation when the lights came on. I can’t speak for the rides and I certainly understand why some people might find it “touristy” but for us it felt authentic and charming and a well worth the visit.

This place has something for everyone. Attractive gardens, fountains, decorative buildings and many beautifully ornate rides, theatres, a lake, a white Peacock! Lots of seating, including deck chairs, al over the gardens for you to just enjoy the views, Lots of different eateries and bars serving a good variety of good food. I like the way it is zoned. I spent 4 hours there and could easily have stayed longer if I hadn't had a plane to catch. It must be very pretty at night as well as there are lots of lights and lanterns. And I hear they go all out at Christmas.

We had originally planned to enter the park and have one or two rides that took our fancy. I'm so very glad we changed our minds and opted for the ride wristband instead. This elevated what would have been a fairly pleasant (but expensive!) hour long stroll through the amusement park to a really memorable afternoon/evening, despite the inclement weather. Myself and my young adult daughter must have gone on 15 rides each. There were small queues in the afternoon and none later in the evening!! The highlight was the old wooden roller coaster. We ended up eating dinner at one of the many restaurants within the Tivoli Food Hall. The food hall had a welcoming, buzzing vibe and our food (very tasty burgers and chips) was the perfect end to a fabulous day.

This place is a must see destination at Christmas time. Very well decorated with thousands of lights. Went during the day and came back in the evening when the place was transformed into a winter wonderland. Plenty of food and glogg stalls to keep you going. Didn't use any of the rides, but plenty to see without them.

Surprisingly large once inside. Fun place. Lots going on. Pretty good dining options. Food court is outstanding. Great place for photos.

Very much enjoyed Tivoli Gardens. A bit overcrowded for my taste, but was also there on a sunny Friday. Could enjoy it a lot more if not so crowded.

We spent a half day here and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. It was not crowded when we arrived, so we had a chance to walk and see everything. It is amazing all the rides and mini gardens they have packed into such a relatively small space, and hard to believe it is right in the middle of the city. We bought just the tickets for entrance, no rides, and thought the price was fair. Had a lovely coffee, later an early dinner, and watched a modern dance pantomime show. As we were leaving a concert was starting (they have them every Friday night) and we could not believe how many people were pouring into the park. All in all a great day!

A spectacular, if expensive, must see whilst in Copenhagen. We went on a Saturday so had the added bonus of live music and fireworks to end the evening. Nostalgic rides, overpriced snacks but got to do it!

Tivoli Gardens, situated opposite the train station in the city center, is a beautifully designed entertainment center featuring a variety of restaurants and enjoyable rides. It looks particularly magnificent in the evening with its stunning lighting. Although the entrance fee and prices for attractions inside are a bit steep, I believe it's a must-visit when in Copenhagen. It's worth noting that Copenhagen is an expensive city, so I recommend visiting with this in mind :)

A great day was had at Tivoli. Gardens are beautiful for strolling round and the rides were all good fun. Food was good too, we liked the Gasoline Grill. Highlight though was the haunted house. We were still talking about it hours later.

The man at the gate told us that we had to go in, because we thought it was only an attractie park for children. However it is more, it is a beautiful garden with more that only attractions. Only it was a pity that the white peacocks were in a very small cage.
EllaM2012
A beautiful place in the middle of the city! A lot of rides and a huge variety of restaurants and eateries. I was very impressed with all the amazing flowers and plants all over the park. Fantastic colors and variety anywhere you look! We staying for the evening light and fire show, it was very colorful and very original.
ErikaElMadi
The park is cute and larger than I initially thought. My husband and I bought entry only tickets and were surprised to see the cost for one ride was 90kr for most of the rides, so we only rode one. The gardens themselves are well maintained and there are many a quaint cafe to sit and enjoy. This time of year, the park was riddled with school field trips so many younger children with minimal supervision which isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, and doesn’t lend a relaxing environment but cute and detail oriented none the same.

We had so much fun, my first time in an amusement park! We spent almost the entire day there. We bought the entrance tickets, because we were not sure if we were gonna ride any rides. Luckily you can buy separate ride tickets at the ride (contactless payment). Definitely can be pricy - the tickets, food and drinks, shops etc, but worth it. Was crowded on Saturday, but nothing too bad. Definitely a lot of fun for all ages :)

Fabulous amusement parks. Lots of rides, games and places to eat. Great photo opportunities. Light and laser show at the lake at 10:30pm.

Wonderful location to spend a day. My daughters enjoyed the rides, we walked around, I spent a little time relaxing listening to live music. We ate at the food court, tried many different things, all tasty, even went back another day. Had hot chocolate and pastries in the park, exceptional. Fun way to spend a day with the family.

Wish I had time to come at night. Initially came for the Food Festival, it wasn’t the same as Food Festivals in the US. A lot smaller scale. Great place for kids, lots games and rides. Food Hall was impressive

So much to see in such a small area. Food and drink venues, stalls, fairground and thrilling rides, picturesque garden areas and concert arenas. We visited here during the day using the Copenhagen Card. This only pays for the admission to the park, not access to the fairground rides. You can buy tickets either for each ride which you can pay for with your card after queueing to get on or a day card. The old rollercoaster is so enjoyable and the best ride in the park that we tried, The Demon is good but quite short and more expensive!. Some of the other rides are quite good as well but most are quite a short ride, but we found the queues weren't too long so it was fine. The staff in the park were friendly and efficient after a beer and then a cake stop we left planning to come back later. If doing this remember to get a stamp, but i think usually you will be asked on leaving but anyway remember to ask, just in case. The card gives you only one paid entry. The weather was good so we really enjoyed walking around Tivoli, it seemed quite a special place. At night we came back and enjoyed the lit up scenes and had a few beers and some food do the tower rides at night. Tivoli food market is a good venue to eat as well. So worth a visit, don't miss it.

Wonderful place for a family, great rides, easy to move around, very helpful staff, easy access into the park, close to many other sites, highly recommended.

A plethora of fun attractions, and despite being in the large city of Copenhagen, was a very picturesque park with great views. Some favourite rides include Dæmonen, Monsunen and Rutschebanen, one of the world's oldest operating coasters! For the most part I enjoyed myself and queues were moderate with efficient staff, however my one small issue to prevent me from giving 5 stars is that crowd congestion got quite bad when visiting on a Saturday, so there could be more pathways to divert crowds. However, when visiting on a Monday, I had no issue with this. Overall, very good experience!
cascience
Beautiful and fun. The park is historically significant, but when you visit with kids all they really notice is how much fun they’re having. We have been even when the weather wasn’t great, but if you dress accordingly you’re going to have a nice time.

Tivoli is so fun! We went at 630 PM and the timing was almost perfect, as there was virtually no line anywhere, and we got to see the beautiful lights at dusk. I would recommend a 530 or 6 arrival if you have younger children as some of their rides (like the Carousel) stop at 630. Truly a delight! The entire team was so friendly too!

This was such a unique find for someone from the UK! We had some time to kill before heading over to ESC so we decided we'd head in. It cost us around £90 for two tickets including a ride pass which I think is comparable to UK prices. There's a fair couple of rides, lots of lovely gardens and a food court (which is also open to the public from the main road). We really enjoyed our time here! A lot of the rides are probably aimed at young teens however, in our late 20s, we still enjoyed.

Tivoli Gardens was something of a spectacle. It was a beautiful place even if it was on the smaller size to the scale we are used to in the UK. It probably takes ten minutes to walk the full park. I will say, the food feels like the focus of Tivoli - there are SO many restaurants, bars, stalls and stands that it’s actually a bit overwhelming. You could spend the day just eating and drinking and it does seem that a lot of the park’s visitors were there just for that and the beauty of the park itself. The rides are okay - I don’t think you go here expecting the best roller coasters in the world, but for a younger kid, especially, there is so much on offer. Also… Cakenhagen… WOW. Those cakes were stunning. I also did manage to spend about 5 hours here, so I can’t say it was a bad deal overall.

Always nice and always visiting it when in Copenhagen. Especially if you are into amusement parks, this is clearly for you! 😃

Not sure what I expected from this place but I was really impressed. The Gardens are much bigger than I thought and very well maintained. It's just a good old fashioned amusement park but not tired at all and so much more than just rides. The light show was very good and I thought there was something for everyone. Would recommend going here when visiting Copenhagan.

Tivoli gardens is a must see. Compactly layed out yet with so much to see and do, every single detail has been carefully thought out. Whether you intend to go on rides or not it is great as the gardens are so beautiful and the atmosphere is lovely. The rides are all quirky, fun and decorated in a unique way, nothing seems unloved or neglected. There is a huge variety of food options and some great shops too. We went in the evening and seeing the park lit up after sunset was magical.

What an amazing place! We thought we might spend a few hours there but ended up spending all day and going back to see the lights at night and we still didn’t get to see everything. There’s even an aquarium there which we didn’t have time to go in. It’s lovely to stroll around and the rides are really good. The oldest rollercoaster there is so fun! There are lots of food places, the restaurants are very expensive but the food court is amazing, full of different types of food. It was so pretty at night too with all the lights. It was clean and not too busy either. Definitely a place to visit:

Really good place to visit. Lots of fun and variety, whether it's riding the rides or relaxing in the green areas. Would happily go again if back in Copenhagen.

We visited the park using the Copenhagen card, which gave us free entry to the park and gardens, and we paid for a couple of rides. It was lovely to,walk round the park and just enjoy the atmosphere. The sound and light show at the end of the evening on the Saturday was nice. Lots of places to eat and drink. You could spend a fortune there if you really wanted to. It is a lovely place and definitely worth visiting in the late afternoon/ early evening when the gardens and buildings are lit up.

Visited here on the 20th of April 2024 as part of the Copenhagen card. We didn’t choose to pay for rides and had a stroll around the park as it was approaching sunset. This is a massive theme park which is well organised and has plenty of patrol officers to ensure the park is safe. Plenty of choice of food inside and at the tivoli food hall

Beautiful clean park Lots to do for young and old alike Fantastic food halls that you could visit either as a park guest or just pop in from the street Great value for money

I visited Tivoli solo after reading great reviews. Theme parks aren't usually my thing but there's so much more than that there. There's so many places to eat, little shops, a beautiful walk throughout with a water area (And boat rides), a concert area plus the rides you can see from outside. I visited in the late afternoon/evening and it wasn't busy, really chilled walking around, and of course got to see the beautiful lights. If you aren't set to a time, I'd definitely recommend to go later and see the lights. It was very clean and well run.

We visited Tivoli Park with our two sons, aged 2 and 6. Our oldest son has mild autism. Unfortunately, he accidentally trapped one of his fingers in the toilet door, causing him significant distress and resulting in a meltdown where he refused assistance from anyone. The staff at Tivoli were incredibly helpful, assisting us in calming him down and showing great hospitality throughout the ordeal. After about an hour, he finally began to calm down and stopped crying. To our son's delight, the staff gave him a teddy bear to take home, which he cherished immensely. We will definitely going back to Tivoli in the future. The park itself is also very well-maintained, with a wide variety of rides that kept the kids entertained and thrilled.
jamesp988
Tivoli is a beautiful attraction with attractive gardens and fountains surrounded by a selection of rides and restaurants. We had an amazing time and the roller coasters and rides were brilliant. Well worth the money.
Kimbillie
Just brilliant! Lots to keep all ages entertained. We went in about 3pm and stayed until 9.30pm to see all the lights et . The wrist bands for us was definitely the right choice and we made such good use of them - we went on everything multiple times. Loads of places to eat/ drink and have a sit down. Great service too by all the staff. Wonderful

We had an excellent afternoon and evening at Tivoli. There was such a wide range of activities and things for our young family to get involved with. Our 9 and 11-year-olds were the perfect ages for the rides. The more intimidating rides such as The Demon wouldn’t stand out in a theme park particularly, but they offered them something very exciting to work up to getting on. The wristbands aren’t cheap (little is in Copenhagen), but they actually work out to be great value. On a chilly April weekday, there basically weren’t any queues for anything, so the kids probably went on in excess of 30 rides. By night, the Tivoli transformed with all of the lights. It almost felt like a different place. There was a light show in the evening which I wouldn’t go out of my way for. If you’re there, it’s worth stopping at. It lived up to all of our pre-holiday hopes and expectations! I can’t imagine this won’t be the highlight for both of our children.

I was not planning on visiting Tivoli, but it was the only thing opened at night on a Monday. Lucky for me. Too bad my teen daughters were not with me because they are fans of amusement parks and would have found this one entertaining. It was also fairly empty due to the weather. Great spot for an evening stroll.
illiando44
Very beautiful and entertaining place!a must-go for families with kids. Well-arranged, notwithstanding some natural human-traffic on all the top-attractions. A must-go.
mattbourne92
Visited here in April last year. It was really easy to get to as it is very centrally located. We got free access to the park itself by using the CPH card and then we bought the passes once in there. There were plenty of rides for all ages and the queues were fast moving. It was a really well thought out and laid out park with some great attractions, in particular the old wooden rollercoaster which is a must ride for all ages. We also saw the light show in the evening which was good as well. We are in the food hall attached to the park, there were plenty of options and between us we ate bao buns, crispy chicken and a chicken curry. Should be one everyone’s list when you visit Copenhagen, even if you just have a wander around the park and not bother with the rides.
nigel57
Entered after a short queue with pre paid tickets ,finally sussed out the machine to print out the wrist band for the rides then off to explore. The rides are good with not too long a wait and joined in with the kids screaming. The shops and fair like stalls are entertaining and eager to take our money . The gardens are just spaces along the park but colourful and the fragrance fairly strong .( this is not a garden as such so dont be dissapointed. ).

Lots to do and see here. With various covered areas and plenty of fairground rides to keep everyone amused. Lots if food outlets and even a Mikkeller bar. Fireworks on a Friday evening too.
