About
Explore the Dutch countryside without rushing
The best way to see the Dutch countryside is by visiting the most beautiful places in traditional Holland without rushing. With this tour you’ll visit the picturesque towns of Volendam, Zaanse Schans, Edam and Marken. In each town your guide will accompany you on guided walks and provide you with fascinating information about the sights.
Traditional Holland at its best
Discover what the Netherlands is all about and have fun on this special full-day trip. During your visits you will discover traditional Dutch customs in each of the towns. For instance, when you visit Zaanse Schans, you will see the world-famous antique windmills that are still in use today and have the opportunity to go inside one, where a miller will show you how it all works.
On the former island of Marken one of the few remaining professional clog makers will give you a demonstration with an antique steam engine, and you can visit an authentic Marken home from the 1940s. In the harbour of either Marken or Volendam, you will sit down for lunch at a traditional fish restaurant. The two-course lunch consists of two soup options and a fish, chicken or veggie main.
To travel between Marken and Volendam, you won’t be getting back on the bus. Instead, you will step on board of the local ferry for a boat cruise on the IJsselmeer lake. In the picturesque village of Volendam, you will visit the Cheese Factory for a cheese making demonstration as well as a wine and cheese tasting. And a visit to a traditional bakery includes a demonstration on how to make delicious stroopwafels and taste an unbelievably tasty stroopwafel liqueur.
As you walk through these traditional places you’ll see the colourful costumes of the locals and experience the culture. There are opportunities to purchase souvenirs such as clogs, ceramics, tulips and much more in each of the towns.

Killer Bikes
This trip was a lot of fun. We went to Edam, Marken and Volendam and een though we had been there, it was a very good tour. I thank our guide's name was Cecilia, but not too sure on that. Her catch phrase was ,"Killer Bikes!". She knew her stuff and she made it fun.
Want to to see all Holland has to offer in a day? This is the tour for you!
Incredible day jam packed with all the Holland essentials! We were not looking to spend a ton of time at each destination, so this tour was perfect for us. We got to so many spots in one day, with just the right amount of history/info on each, along with a small bit of free time to take some photos and browse some shops at each location. It was perfect. We picked this tour because it DID NOT include Keukenhof, which was hard to find. You can (and should) spend an entire day at Keukenhof if you have the time. Celeste was a lovely tour guide - kind, funny and right on schedule. The fish and chips lunch was sooo delicious! We loved the quick demonstrations of Stroopwaffles, dutch cheese and clogs. The Edam cheese was to die for! Getting outside of the city centre was like being plunked into a fairytale - the little Holland towns and architecture didn't even seem real! I could go on and on but I will just finish by saying how memorable this day was and how highly we recommend this tour!
Pieter was an excellent guide...
I love coach tours, but sometimes they get me down if there are too many people and every venue is too crowded. This tour was special. It started with Pieter, who ran a very tight ship, but also had a great sense of humor. We started in Zaanse Schans, which was crowded, but we got our own personal tour of a windmill, plus an extra boat trip on the River Zaan. Then we went to Edam (where the cheese comes from). It was QUIET, and Pieter led us down little streets and along charming canals. Then we went to Volendam, which was heaving with tourists, but we got our own personal tour of the cheese factory and also of the stroop waffle place. Lastly was Marken, also heaving, but Pieter led us along empty lanes and alleyways. Altogether, a tremendous day, which I highly recommend
Fantastico dia
