In Rotterdam Zoo you can take a walk around the world in one day. Travel to Asia, Africa and North America, and discover the most extraordinary animals in the world. Wander through the different continents and be amazed by the natural beauty on offer.
Walk through Oceanium, the largest aquarium in the Netherlands, to see diverse coastlines and the ocean floor where sharks and sea turtles swim overhead. Conservation and breeding programmes
Rotterdam Zoo supports a number of conservation projects in the wild and also actively participates in many breeding programmes for endangered species. Rotterdam Zoo is one of the top ten zoos in the world in this field.
Recent successes include the birth of a male black rhino in November 2020 and a male Asian elephant in May 2021, the fifteenth healthy elephant born at the zoo. Other breeding programs in which the zoo participates include programs for red pandas, Komodo dragons, red-crowned and Siberian cranes, Visayan wart hogs, Egyptian tortoises and crowned doves.

It was a birthday present for my boyfriend to celebrate his birthday at Blijdorp Zoo. It’s such an amazing place, with beautiful animals and very neat, tidy spaces. The animals seem happy and enjoy their daily lives there. We would definitely come back!
Great family day out
My 10 year old nephew loved it. So many animals, arranged by continent. We were there for four hours but could have stayed longer if it hadn’t been closing.
Een fantastische dag in Diergaarde Blijdorp met het gezin!
Een aanrader voor elk gezin dat op zoek is naar een gezellig, leerzaam en ontspannen dagje uit! We komen zeker nog eens terug.
Super uitje!
Super ervaring maar wel heel duur. Parkeren was goed geregeld, snelle doorloop, aardige mensen en prachtige dieren. Echt een leuk uitje geweest.
Een mooie verzameling dieren
Als laatste activiteit van de citytrip hebben we een bezoek gebracht aan Blijdorp. Een duidelijk plannetje waarmee je via verschillende routes alle dieren van het park kan bewonderen. Wij kwamen binnen via de stadsingang, waar het automatisch rustiger is. Naarmate we aan de andere ingang kwamen werd het wel drukker. Een aanrader om te bezoeken, maar reken er best wat tijd voor uit.
Mooiste dierentuin van NL
Al jaren komen we in Blijdorp en wat ons betreft is het een van de mooiste dierentuinen van Nederland. Ruim opgezet, veel verschillende diersoorten. Meerdere mogelijkheden om binnen te vermaken en diverse horecapunten over het park verspreid. Er is niet echt één route maar de bewegwijzering in het park is duidelijk genoeg om zelf routes te maken. De tuin is erg groot en het is lastig om alles in 1 dag te zien. Zoals in iedere dierentuin hangt het van het weer af of je veel of weinig dieren zult zien. Gelukkig kan je in Blijdorp meer dan genoeg binnenverblijven in om toch dieren te zien. Voor (kleine) kinderen is er ook meer dan genoeg te doen aan activiteiten, speeltuinen en speurtochten. Ja er zijn zeer verouderde delen in Blijdorp. Er wordt al jarenlang hard verbouwd om alles steeds meer te moderniseren en ook de verblijven te vergroten naar moderne maatstaven. Minpunt is de steeds duurder wordende toegangsprijs en de hoge prijzen in de horeca op het park. Een dagje weg met het gezin wordt op deze manier echt heel duur.
Dierentuin uit 1857!
Prachtige, ruim opgezette oude dierentuin waarbij je helemaal vergeet dat je midden in Rotterdam zit. Veel dierenverblijven zijn de afgelopen jaren vernieuwd. Voor de kinderen is er een leuke puzzeltocht met een prijsje aan het eind. Veel verschillende en bijzonderen planten en bomen ook op het terrein, als onderdeel van een botanische tuin.
mooi en groot
Het is een mooie en grote dienrentuin; soms iets te veel lopen. En soms is het moeilijk te zien waar je heengaat of waar dingen zijn te vinden want bepaalde dieren zitten verstoppen achter bomen en bosjes. Helaas was de vlinderhal dicht toen ik er was wat juist een van de leukere dingen is van een dierentuin. Het eten en drinken was wel vies en de keuze vond ik niet heel erg enthousiast. Ik heb 1 voeding van een hagedis gezien wat wel erg leuk was dus ik denk dat de andere voedermomenten ook interessant zijn. Na 4 uur heb ik bijna alles kunnen zien.

l'aquarium est fort intéressant et tout est très bien indiqué selon les continents. Tout est propre et on peut se ravitailler à tout moment
Acquario
Fantastico, con tanti animali e tanti giochi interattivi per bambini. l'acquario è la parte più speciale e interessante dello zoo, con una galleria trasparente circondata dai pesci. UN CONSIGLIO: evitate i giorni di pioggia o troppo freddi perché molti animali (giraffe, leoni, zebre) rimangono chiusi nelle loro gabbie e non si ha la possibilità di vederli bene.

Mi sono divertito molto , ci sono molti animali e la cosa che mi è piaciuta di più è stato l’acquario , meraviglioso! Prezzo un po’ eccessivo (24€) .
Zoo top en el mundo
Somos amantes de los zoos, y este está entre los tres mejores que hemos visitado. Me viene a la cabeza el de Hannover como similar en encanto, animales cuidados, atracciones varias y extensión
Zoológico relativamente grande
Es un zoológico grande (4 horas de recorrido a paso normal). Tiene una variedad de animales y escenografías bastante bien ubicadas. Es fácil llegar desde el centro de Rotterdam.
Bastante bien conservado y con mucha vegetación.
A pesar de que en Agosto es difícil ver todos los animales, es un Zoo muy completo, con abundante vegetación y sitios preciosos como Amazonia, dónde puedes disfrutar de Mariposas a tu alrededor. Un agradable paseo por el Aquarium. Pasar un día estupendo.

Muy bonito el paseo al zoológico tiene muchos animales, de todos los continentes, me gustó mucho lo único malo es que las guías están solo en holandés
Quizás el mejor zoo holandés
Extraordinaria colección, instalaciones impresionantes y un ambiente extremadamente cuidado. Un zoo top a nivel europeo y posiblemente mundial. Quizás el zoo donde he visto a los osos polares mejor y con mayor calidad de vida.
Fin och fint skött djurpark
Har du barn med dig är denna zoo ett måste. Välplanerad, fullt med aktiviteter för barn i alla åldrar. Möjlighet att se mer ovanliga arter som t.ex gorillor och indiska elefanter . Vackert byggd park och dekorerad med underbara blommor och andra växter.
