The BODY WORLDS at the foot of the Berliner Fernsehturms gives insights into the highly complex structures of the human body and shows what connects us, keeps us upright and in motion, and what makes us laugh and love.
BODY WORLDS Berlin invites you to a touching and inspiring encounter with life and to examine what defines us. The BODY WORLDS museum opens the your eyes to different aspects of life that influence us all, such as happiness and misfortune, excess and moderation, pressure and release, and chance and destiny.
Since 2017, BODY WORLDS has also displayed plastinated animals. Visitors can examine the inner workings of an antelope, a yak, a dog and even a lion who was born in the Berlin Zoo, Icke. The lion is especially impressive with his extraordinary muscles. Icke weight 200kg but his strong hind limbs could propel him across incredible leaps of nearly 12 metres.
BODY WORLDS Berlin was the first in a series of exhibitions created by Dr. Gunther von Hagens, who invented the process of plastination in 1977. Plastination is the process where real bodies are preserved for scientific research and medical education. While his work has been copied countless times, his own work is still the most spectacular.
Discover the secrets of the body and learn about how it functions from a unique perspective on your visit to Berlin. BODY WORLDS Berlin, also known as Körperwelten, is an essential educational attraction and an unforgettable experience. Book your BODY WORLDS Berlin tickets here to see the human body as you have never seen it before.

This is an incredible exhibition. Recommend taking headphones as they encourage use of audio guide via your mobile phone.

Would definitely recommend visiting here, particularly if you are interested in science or health. Really informative and insightful! Also great value for money and the exhibition was much larger than we initially thought so takes a good 1-2 hours to properly appreciate all of its features. We really enjoyed this experience

An extremely fascinating place to visit. All displays in the Körperwelten Body Worlds are from real specimens, chemically treated and frozen in time in resin to preserve everything that you see in this exhibition. Even though Body Worlds Exhibition can be found world-wide, if you've never been to a Body World Exhibition then take the time to visit it in Berlin. The information provided is in both German and English, including audio options. Everything in this exhibition is educational, for children (although a young child may actually be freaked out by the concept of this exhibition and what is on display) and adults alike. They're detailed and informational in regards to the human body, as well as biological information on selected animals. You'll see displays in person and before your eyes that you would usually only get to see through a digital screen or from pictures. You can get up close and as personal as it can get to take in the details of the human body, especially everything below the surface of the human skin. The displays are mostly visual, with some audio and interactive displays as well. Entry fees are not steep, and it is definitely worth the experience in the exhibition. The idea of the concept may seem off putting and visitors may not be so keen on seeing real skeleton and body parts of once living beings, but it isn't as disgusting as most would imagine it to be. If anything, you'll probably be more fascinated by what you will learn and see. Afterall, these parts are exactly the parts of each of our bodies. Set aside at least 2 to 3 hours for this exhibition, all of which depending on how eager you are to absorb the information provided.
