Covid-19 FAQ
Dear guest,
Due to the coronavirus, we had to close our doors earlier this year. We spend that time working and preparing to reopen in the safest way possible. Please keep in mind that, for the time being, all our attractions and activities are subject to the necessary restrictions to protect your health and the health of our beloved colleagues.
We are excited to welcome you again! Therefore, we want to share with you a few tips and some of the measures we took in order to reassure you can enjoy your experience with us to the fullest.
If you still have some questions after reading the information below, please feel free to contact us (hello@toursandtickets.nl). We will be more than happy to help!
General safety measures & local information
Is it safe for me to visit a museum/attraction or join one of the activities available?
Yes, the safety of our guests and colleagues is essential to us. We want you to fully enjoy your experience, that is why we are strictly following the safety and hygiene guidelines from the Dutch government. Our colleagues at the different locations are well aware of the new rules and protocols and will help you and guide you during your visit.
What safety measures are being used to make sure my visit is as safe as possible?
As mentioned before, all our attractions and venues are subject to the necessary restrictions. Hereby you can think, not only, about wearing face masks, the 1,5-meter rule, restrictions on the number of guests allowed on the venue/activity (reduced groups), but also about the fact that tickets must be purchased in advance and with a time slot. These restrictions will help us to prevent crowds and to protect our guests and colleagues from coronavirus.
What can I do or visit in Amsterdam?
Many of our attractions are opening their doors again from the 1st of June: Ripley's Believe it or not, Body Worlds, Red Light Secrets, and the XtraCold Icebar, among many other venues in the city. From that date, it is also possible to join one of our cruises and sail the beautiful canals of Amsterdam. Please check the product pages on the website for further information about our attractions and other activities. If you still have any questions, please send us an email to hello@toursandtickets.nl.
Where can I get local information about the activities I can do in the city in a safe way?
You can always reach us by sending an email to hello@toursandtickets.nl. If you are already in the city, you can visit one of the Tours&Tickets shops. We will be more than happy to answer your questions and assist you in the best way we can.
I would like to visit a venue with a group/school, is this possible?
Due to safety reasons, we do not encourage visiting us in big groups. Please keep in mind that due to the restrictions implemented to stop the spread of coronavirus, if you travel with a big group, at some venues there is no option to enter at the same time.
My tickets/reservation
Can I cancel and get a refund for my tickets?
When purchased on our website, the following tickets can be cancelled up to 8 hours before the start of the activity: Icebar, Red Light Secrets, Ripley's Believe it or not, Body Worlds, 1-hour Canal Cruise, and Open Boat Cruise. All the other tickets we offer for a product with a specific date and time (‘timed entry tickets’) are not refundable. Open tickets (no specific date and time selected) are refundable within fourteen days of purchase. In order to request a refund for any of the mentioned tickets, please send us an email to hello@toursandtickets.nl.
I already have a reservation, but I am not certain if I can attend. What can I do?
Please send us an email with your tickets attached, so we can find a suitable alternative for you.
I have an open ticket (without a specific date and time for the visit), do I need to make a reservation?
Yes, it is necessary to make a reservation before your visit. To select your preferred date and time, please go to the Tours and Tickets shop located at Damrak 26 (3-minute walk from Amsterdam Central Station).
Please note, the booking will be subjected to availability, and it is necessary to bring your open ticket/voucher.
I already have a ticket/voucher purchased with another company (without a specific date and time for the visit), do I need to make a reservation?
Yes, when you purchased a ticket with a different company, you also need to make a reservation. To select your preferred date and time, please go to the Tours and Tickets shop located at Damrak 26 (3-minute walk from Amsterdam Central Station).
Please note, the booking will be subjected to availability, and it is necessary to bring your open ticket/voucher.
How do I know the availability of the venue/activity I would like to visit/join?
You can see the availability of each one of the activities we offer on our website. You only have to select a date in the calendar, and the website will show you how many tickets are available for each timeslot. If an activity/venue is still not operating, there will be no availability and/or it will be stated on the product page.
I would like to pay in cash, is this still an option?
For safety reasons, we highly recommend the online booking or payment by card. However, it is still possible to pay by cash.
If I have some symptoms or I am feeling unwell, should I join the visit anyway?
We kindly ask you to contact us, so we can rearrange your visit for a later date. We will be glad to welcome you once you are fully recovered.
