FAQ Keukenhof

Below, you'll find the answers to all your questions about Keukenhof tickets and our tours to the Keukenhof Gardens.

Keukenhof general information

  • What is the best period to visit Keukenhof?
In 2027 the Keukenhof tulip gardens are open from 18 March to 9 May 2027. Because we cannot control nature, we cannot know in advance when the flowers will be at their peak.
  • How long do I have to visit the gardens?
Keukenhof is open daily from 08:00 – 19:30. If you have booked one of our tours including transport, you will have about 3 hours to visit the Keukenhof gardens. When you have an Entrance Only ticket, you will have as much time as you wish.
  • Is it possible to eat/drink something at the Keukenhof Gardens?
You can bring your own food/drinks or purchase something at the park directly. There are many options to cater to all tastes and budgets.
  • Is there a stop at the flower fields?
No, there is no stop at the flower fields on the tours, but you can see them from the bus. The bus tour with visit to the Tulip Experience does stop at a tulip farm, including photo opportunity.
  • Can we rent bikes inside Keukenhof Park?
No, bikes are not allowed inside the gardens.
  • Does my ticket to the park include a boat ride inside?
Boat tickets are not included, but you can purchase a separate ticket for a short boat ride inside the Keukenhof park.
  • Can we reschedule or cancel our tour?
Yes, you can reschedule or cancel a Keukenhof tour up to 24 hours in advance.

Departure & Return

  • Can I choose my return time from the Gardens to Amsterdam?
Only when you have an Entrance only ticket

  • Can we reserve specific seats on the Keukenhof bus?
Unfortunately we cannot reserve seats. There is free seating on the bus. If you require a specific seat, please ask your bus driver to help out.
  • Where will the bus drop me off at the end of the tour?

Audio guides & ticket combinations

  • What is the difference between the guided and non-guided Keukenhof tours?
The guided tour includes an audio guide on the bus, with information about Keukenhof and the bulb region. The tour is available in multiple languages. The non-guided tour does not have an audio guide on the bus.
  • I booked a combination, what will I be visiting first?
This will be decided on the day. When you get to the shop on the day of the tour you can always check with the guide what your schedule looks like for the day.
  • When I book a tour combination can I do one of the tours on a different day?
If you book the Keukenhof + Countryside & Windmills tour this is not possible, this is a complete tour that takes place in one day.
The 1hr canal cruise, however, can be rescheduled for another day if you prefer. You can rebook the canal cruise when you check-in for the tour at the shop.
