Tivoli pleziertuinen

Beautiful garden in Copenhagen ......................... .... ..... ........................................
Mooi park, leuke optredens
Feeling refreshed!
Tivoli Gardens was beautiful. We went with three generations and while the kids were riding the rides we walked around, enjoyed the lovely gardens, ate, drank and just relaxed in one of many seating areas! The only negative was the map. It was extremely had to find things and I’m good at reading maps.
Tivoli Gardens, Copenhagen / Denmark
There are amusement parks, and then there is Tivoli Gardens in wonderful Copenhagen—a place where history, elegance, entertainment, and pure magic come together in a way few destinations in the world can match. Founded in 1843, Tivoli is one of the oldest operating amusement parks on Earth and remains one of Copenhagen's greatest treasures. Walking through its gates feels like stepping into a living fairytale where historic charm blends seamlessly with modern attractions. It is no surprise that Tivoli inspired generations of artists, storytellers, and even the imagination behind Disneyland. One of Tivoli's greatest advantages is its location in the heart of Copenhagen, directly beside the legendary Nimb Hotel. Guests staying at Nimb enjoy an almost unmatched luxury experience, with direct access to the gardens and stunning views of Tivoli's illuminated landscapes. However, even if you are not a hotel guest, Tivoli remains incredibly accessible and welcoming. The park offers something for every visitor. Thrill-seekers can enjoy world-class rides, including the historic wooden roller coaster and modern adrenaline attractions. Families will find beautifully landscaped gardens, charming lakes, children's rides, and captivating performances throughout the day. As evening arrives, Tivoli transforms into something truly extraordinary as thousands of lights illuminate the gardens, creating one of Europe's most romantic atmospheres. What sets Tivoli apart from ordinary amusement parks is its year-round calendar of special events. Summer brings outstanding open-air concerts featuring international and Danish artists. Food enthusiasts can enjoy seasonal culinary festivals showcasing Nordic and global cuisine. During Halloween, the gardens become a spectacular display of pumpkins and autumn decorations. Yet it is the Christmas season that elevates Tivoli to another level entirely. The Christmas Market is simply magical—filled with festive lights, traditional Scandinavian treats, handcrafted gifts, and an atmosphere that feels straight out of a storybook. Visitors should plan for admission fees, which vary by season and event. Entrance tickets and ride passes are typically purchased separately, although package options are available. For travelers exploring Copenhagen, the Copenhagen Card is an exceptional value. The card includes entry to Tivoli during much of the operating season while also providing access to numerous attractions and public transportation throughout the city, making it one of the smartest investments for visitors not staying at Nimb Hotel. For the best experience, arrive shortly after opening to enjoy the gardens before crowds build, then stay into the evening when Tivoli reveals its most enchanting side. Summer evenings offer vibrant energy and concerts, while December delivers one of the most beautiful Christmas experiences in Europe. Tivoli Gardens is not merely an amusement park—it is a cultural institution, a historic landmark, a culinary destination, and one of the most atmospheric places in Scandinavia. Whether you visit for the rides, the gardens, the concerts, the food festivals, or the unforgettable Christmas magic, Tivoli delivers an experience that exceeds expectations and leaves lasting memories.
Magic
Always wanted to go here from a very young age. So for my 60th I did, and boy it didn't disappoint. Doesn't look that big from the outside, but inside it's like Dr who's tardis. Didn't do any rides, just walked around. Still spent 5 enjoyable hours in there. There's plenty to do and see. Plenty of places to eat. Plenty of seats for people watching or just watching the world go bye. It was the best experience for my 60th
tivoli gardens
fun park with great eating establishments
Don't Miss THE Rollercoast
Wonderful experience visiting one of the oldest amusement parks around. Particularly beautiful after sunset as everything is decorated in old-style bulbs to light up at night. Absolute favourite was the rollercoaster - still operated by a manual breaking system and a very fun ride for kids young and old!
Fed oplevelse
Fun evening out!
Came here on our first full day in the city! Entrance is included in the Copenhagen Card, and you can get a discounted ride pass through that too. Lots of cool rides to try out, though one was out of service which was disappointing. It's a really fun place where you can spend hours, and not a bad price for what you get. Well worth making some time to visit while in the city!
Great First Stop in Copenhagen – Relaxing, Fun, and Worth It
Tivoli Gardens was the perfect way to kick off our first day in Copenhagen (May 2025). It ended up being our very first stop after arriving, and honestly, it set the tone for the whole trip. As we approached, we learned about the Copenhagen Card—and I can’t recommend it enough. It gave us free public transportation (super helpful for getting around the city) plus access to a wide range of attractions, making it a great value overall and an easy decision. The weather couldn’t have been better, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. We took a relaxed approach—grabbed a light bite to eat and a beer, found a comfortable place to sit, and just soaked it all in. There was live music playing, which added a really nice atmosphere without feeling crowded or overwhelming. Tivoli isn’t just about rides—it’s a great place to unwind, people-watch, and ease into Copenhagen at your own pace. Highly recommend it as a first-day activity, especially if you want something fun but not overly hectic.
Very pretty park!
It is a beautiful park, but perhaps we went on an "off" day. Three of the adult rides were not working and then we ended up getting stuck on one of the rides -- in the dark. Although they listed closing at 10pm, everything started closing early. If we ever go back to Copenhagen, I would visit again, but maybe just to walk around and not purchase the ride pass.
Incredible Gardens are a Must See
We didn’t visit Tivoli Gardens for the rides but mainly its history (eg Walt Disneys inspiration for Disneyland) and so we weren’t really expecting much. But this is an amazing place. Not for the rides but for its sheer beauty. The gardens are spectacular and the many eating establishments take full advantage of this, all tucked into incredible garden settings. Contrary to other views, we didn’t find the cost of food any higher than outside the park and given you can enter without buying a rides pass, it’s reasonably inexpensive. We think a must see when visiting Copenhagen.
Tivoli Gardens
Lovely morning out with the obligatory Lakrids purchase, old world charm amidst a modern sea. Well worth a visit.
Family fun
Went on a Tuesday after a holiday Monday. Tivoli did not disappoint. 11 year old rode every ride and some twice. We spent 7 h there. Tired, yes. But family had fun. Lucky for perfect weather and a not too busy day. Be sure to check out Villa Vendetta...family favourite
Great and nice
Very well laid out gardens and superb landscaping . In May the flowers were all in full bloom and the colourful kaleidoscope was a treat . The amusement park is nothing to talk about but yes worth a ride or two . The staff at one of them let us through as senior citizens as the on site payment kiosk wasn’t working . The place is full of cafes and restaurants both inside as well as outside
Pretty, but don't go in summer if you want to see it lit up
Lovely place, but if you want to see it all lit up, don't go in summer. Our tour left at 8:20pm (in May) and it was still bright daylight. Lovely place, though - very pretty gardens, and a nice cake cafe, and plenty of other places to eat, too. Also some pretty terrifying rides if you like that sort of thing. A few nice shops, too.
Must see at good weather
Must see if traveling with kids especially. Joyful even if without kids.
amazing
Fabulous place. WE had always wanted to go here and came to Copenhagen mainly for this reason. It did not disappoint it. So many flowers. Very, very beautiful. Thank you.
A Magical Day at Tivoli Gardens!
Few places in the world combine elegance, entertainment, family joy, and timeless charm as beautifully as Tivoli Gardens. Located in the heart of Copenhagen, this legendary attraction is far more than an amusement park — it is a complete family experience where children, parents, and visitors of all ages can spend an unforgettable full day surrounded by beauty, excitement, and happiness. From the moment you enter, the atmosphere feels magical. The gardens are perfectly maintained with colorful flowers, sparkling lights, elegant architecture, and relaxing walkways that create a warm and welcoming environment. Every corner is designed with attention to detail, giving visitors the feeling of stepping into a fairytale. For children, Tivoli is pure paradise. The rides range from gentle family attractions to thrilling adventures, all operated with excellent safety standards and organization. The games, performances, and interactive activities keep young visitors entertained for hours, while the friendly staff help create a joyful and secure atmosphere for families. Dining at Tivoli is another exceptional experience. The park offers a wide selection of restaurants, cafés, barbecue areas, desserts, and international cuisine suitable for every taste. Families can relax and enjoy quality meals while surrounded by music, gardens, and beautiful scenery. The souvenir shops are also wonderfully presented, offering elegant gifts, toys, and memorable keepsakes displayed with style and creativity. What truly makes Tivoli special is its balance between excitement and relaxation. Visitors can enjoy thrilling rides, live entertainment, concerts, cultural shows, and peaceful moments beside the lake all within the same destination. During the evening, the lights transform the entire park into one of the most beautiful nighttime experiences in Europe. Tivoli Gardens stands among the finest attractions in the world. It is not simply a place to visit for a few hours — it is a complete experience filled with joy, elegance, family memories, and world-class hospitality that leaves visitors wanting to return again and again.
Nice park to spend a few hours in, if you have kids, they will love it
This is mainly a theme park with rides geared to children. That said, it’s still worth a visit to stroll around and admire the landscaping and watching the kids wear themselves out. We spent most of the morning there, just walking and watching the other people. We went just before opening and the line was very long, but the gate staff got people in efficiently so we really didn’t have to wait long. If I did it over again, I would time it so I got there at least thirty minutes after the park opens.
Incommensurabile
Bellissima esperienza; ambiente retrò e giochi poco patinati. Incommensurabile
Altid hyggeligt i Tivoli
A lovely way to spend an evening
We visited in the evening as we'd been told the park is amazing when lit up. It was true...it was absolutely beautiful, and we were so glad we went. We got the park-only ticket which didn't include any rides, which we were glad about because quite a few of the rides (including the main rollercoaster) were closed. I'd recommend checking what rides are open before paying for the all inclusive ticket.
good but pricey for rides
tivoli gardens has a nice old school amusement vibe and the gardens are a nice place to stroll around. it wasnt super crowded on our visit which was a relief but the rides add up quick cost wise. perfect if you wanna chill with some outdoor fun and sncaks tho
A must for a day out
What a great place mixing old and new as well as beautiful landscaped gardens. Plenty of ride choice and not too busy on the day we visited (Sunday in April). The aquarium we didn’t want to leave and the park was stunning to walk round and so clean. Many places to eat and drink and staff so friendly. A must is to be there in the hours of darkness. We left for an hour or so and went back to see the park illuminated- very very pretty. Good value for money and nice touch with two tier pricing of entry only and then ride ticket on top- both really good value for money.
Fabulous day out for everyone
This was such a lovely day out. It feels like a more laid back and quaint version of Disney with something for everyone. We went on a beautiful sunny day and enjoyed sitting outside having a couple of drinks. Would love to go back
A good day out
Had a lovely day out at Tivoli gardens. The only disappointing thing was the realisation that whilst entrance is included in the Copenhagen card, rides are not. So we had to pay £36 per person, as four adults, to go on a few rides which I thought was very expensive. We spent most of the day there and it wasn’t overly busy so the queues weren’t too bad. Really enjoyed the little Hans Christian Andersen ride.
Amusements galore
Known as the Denmark Disneyland or the VinWonders of the North, this place is fun with friends or family. Rides for those looking for activities or food for those interested in a different experience. You’re paying park prices, but everything is clean, full of foliage and offers something for everyone.
Parc d attractions
Kid friendly
Oldest amusement park in Europe, 1844. Only bought entrance ticket not one for rides or anything else exit. They're free shows on the main stage for kids. Definitely a place for kids 10 and under. Light show over the lake was good. Pass allowed in and out access if you get stamped so I went out for dinner and came back late for the night light show. All the staff were very friendly and helpful.
A magical spot in the city
I visited Tivoli Gardens and honestly it’s such a cool place. It’s right in the middle of the city, but once you’re inside it feels kind of magical, especially with all the lights and gardens.
A good day for all the family
I thought this was nicely priced to be affordable for the family and you can either get a limitless ride band or pay for individual rides, I'd recommend the band if you intend to do more that 5/6 rides which it is easy to do here. There's a good mix of rides for all age groups and it's run very efficiently, on a busy bank holiday the longest we queued was 40 mins and a couple of things we just walked straight on to. We ate at Wagamama, very good, reasonable price and had cake and wine at Cakehagen which was nice but slightly overpriced I felt. It would be better if the lightshow was on earlier, it was 22.30 and we were just too tired to stay around for it after a busy afternoon on the rides. We had a really lovely day here though and it compares favourably with UK parks I'd say.
Great day out
We visited on the opening day 27th March. Two of the bigger rides weren't open and surrounded by boarding. We had booked tickets in advance so entry was quick. If you have booked a ride ticket you have to get a wristband which is scanned at each ride. You can leave the park and return but don't forget to get your wrist stamped if you want to. We spent a few hours there as the sun was out and the flowers smelt lovely, it wasn't too busy and there wasn't really any queues for rides. We left and came back in the evening and it looked a different place at night, it some ways it looked better. We didn't stay for the fireworks as we thought 11.15pm was too late but we did hear and see them from out hotel. This is a no smoking or vaping park which I thought was really good. We all enjoyed our visit and would go again, I'm told Halloween is a really good time to go.
Fun but not all the hype
Great for younger families. Really good atmosphere during off peak hour with not too long waiting time for cues. However many rides were closed due to wind
nice spot but pretty crowded
Went to Tivoli in April and it was fun but really busy. The food stalls had decent options and the gardens were okay for a stroll. Some rides looked fun but I skipped most. Could definitely be better without the crowds. Worth a visit if you don’t mind the hustle.
Tivoli is amazing
In the duration of my trip to Copenhagen i literally toured the whole city but my definite favorite part of the trip was Tivoli so much that i went 3 times!!! it was great and the most amazing thing ever the admission fee was expensive but definiately worth it and the atmosphere was just amazing relaxing in some parts but super fun in others and it was a large crowd at mid-day so i reccomend going as soon as it opens All the Staff there were super helpful and nice And Tivoli is Best for a fun day in Copenhagen
Tivoli Gardens
This was my first experiment of Tivoli I came for a visit before Christmas to Denmark and visited here, I loved it! The lights and the atmosphere amazing! I didn’t do any rides but I did enjoy the experience. I would love to come back in warmer weather and enjoy the gardens in bloom as well. Definitely worth the visit!
