De spionage hoofdstad van de wereld
Kennis is altijd macht geweest, en daarom bestaan spionnen al zo lang als de menselijke beschaving zelf. In het oude Egypte stonden spionnen bekend als "de ogen van de farao", in Perzië noemde koning Cyrus ze zijn vele "ogen en oren", en zelfs generaal Sun Tzu wijdde een heel hoofdstuk aan spionnen in zijn beroemde "De kunst van het oorlogvoeren".
Tijdens de Koude Oorlog was Berlijn de plaats waar Oost en West elkaar ontmoetten, nergens anders kwamen de Sovjet- en NAVO-machten zo dicht bij elkaar. Daarom is Berlijn de beste plaats om alles te leren over de wereld van de spionnen. Je kunt het Duitse spionnenmuseum bezoeken op de voormalige grens, de dodenstrook van de Berlijnse Muur.
Zit er een spion in jou?
Als je het Duitse spionnenmuseum bezoekt, leer je niet alleen alles over de wereld van spionnen, maar kun je ook je eigen spionnenspel testen. Van het vinden van afluisterapparatuur tot het ontcijferen van codeberichten, het schrijven van geheime berichten in verdwijnende inkt. Morsecodeberichten versturen, langs een leugendetector komen en een kluis kraken zijn enkele van de dingen die een spion moet kunnen en die jij kunt proberen.
In het Duitse spionnenmuseum kun je zelfs proberen je een weg te banen door een laserdoolhof. Je hebt twee minuten om te proberen er op elke mogelijke manier doorheen te komen. Of je nu springt, hurkt of kruipt, je moet er alleen voor zorgen dat je de laserstralen niet raakt.

Leuk, leerzaam maar iets te druk om 5 sterren te kunnen geven
Leuk, heel goed bedacht en uitgedokterd en leuke spellen en interacties, zowel voor kinderen, tieners als ouders een leuke activiteit. Leerzaam ook, alleen was het iets te druk waardoor voor sommige activiteiten een wachtrij stond. Maar zeker de moeite!
Spion worden
Een boeiende tentoonstelling. Veel informatie en véél te zien. Neem de tijd. Het is wel een druk bezochte tentoonstelling. Maar zeer de moeite waard.
Vertel ik je niet , dat is geheim
Een leuke en illustratieve tentoonstelling. Natuurlijk met een hoog James Bond gehalte. Maar toch zeker de moeite waard
Mooi interactief museum
Het museum geeft veel informatie over het spionage-verleden. Er is veel te lezen, maar gelukkig ook te bekijken en te doen. Door het doseren van het aantal bezoekers kan je overal goed bij. Aanrader dus, ook met kinderen. Wat mij betreft vanaf een jaar of 10-12.

Fab way to have fun, try a laser mase and spend a few hours
Excellent museum! Took my 11 and 19 year olds and they had fun throughout. Loads of info about spying through the centuries and plenty of interactive exhibits. Everything clean and modern, really well laid out. The highlight was definitely the 2 laser mazes- a bit of a queue but it was lined up well so you only queued for max 15 mins even though it was really busy. The James Bond barrel movie opening was great for setting up a good photo, the only issue there was people could - and did - selfishly walk in front while you were trying a good pic. I would recommend putting a queue mechanism there instead. Loos were clean too. Perfect way to spend a couple of hours.
Great but felt like it was more for kids
Nicely built and modern but mostly catered for kids. Would have a loved more adult things and less "gamified for a 10 year old" things to do. Still very nice and worth it.
Tolles Erlebnis
Sehr schönes Museum für groß und klein. Vielle Aktivitäten die man machen kann wie einen Laserparkour oder auch verschiedene Gegenstände erklärt bekommt. Es gibt auch viele Filmrequisiten, wie die von den James Bond Filmen. Auf jeden Fall empfehlenswert. Unbedingt besuchen!
Spying Game
Not my first time in Berlin. It was my first time in the Spy Museum. Well worth a visit. Personally, I was interested in the Cold War era. That said , overall all was interesting. Some of the hands on stuff is for two people.

Einfach eine mega gute Zeit! 🙌Wir waren neulich im Spionagemuseum am Start und es war echt ein richtig cooles Erlebnis. Die Location am Leipziger Platz ist super zentral, der Vibe drinnen ist total entspannt und der Laserparcours war auf jeden Fall das absolute Highlight – macht einfach übelst Bock, sich da wie ein echter Agent durchzuschlängeln!
Für Kinder wie Erwachsene ein super Ausflugsziel!
Eines der besten Museen in Berlin. Das Geld lohnt sich wirklich. Die Kinder hatten Spass bei sportlichen Aktivitäten, Lesefreudige hatten viele Informationen. Ein super gelungenes Erlebnis das ich jedem empfehlen kann! Man kann sich dort den ganzen Tag aufhalten uns es wird nie langweilig!
Great fun for kids — and surprisingly good value
This definitely kept a 12‑year‑old entertained. There were plenty of written spy stories (not really his thing), but the virtual missions made up for it — two laser rooms, a lie‑detector test, and lots of hands‑on tasks that were genuinely fun. The whole experience took around 90 minutes and cost about £35 for an adult and child, which felt very fair for how engaged he was throughout.

An excellent interactive museum with lots of incredible exhibits as well as fun challenges. It has dynamic pricing so book online and later in the day. We could have stayed longer

Sjov og en fed vinkel på historien om 2.verdenskrig. De har flere interaktive stationer hvor man kan afprøve alt fra kodning. Grunden til jeg giver 4 ud af 5 stjerner og ikke alle fem er: - prisen (det er dyr entre) - det er tit mange mennesker. - der er meget kø ved de oplever der kræver interaktion. - der tavler hvor der viser små interviews med relevante personer - kan vælges på engelsk. Men taler det ikke ved mange af tavlerne.

Wir sind spontan in das Museum gegangen und waren begeistert. Tolle Ausstellung und zahlreiche Stationen zum Ausprobieren und Erleben.
Lots of fun
We really enjoyed this museum. It's interactive and lots if fun. Definitely would be good to have a few lie detectors we waited in line but gave up it was taking a while. You get a dis point with welcome Berlin transport ticket

My family had a great time at the spy museum. The interactive elements were fun like decoding name, laser maze, lie detector. My kids had so much fun.

Der Aufbau und die interaktiven Elemente waren beeindruckend. Die Verbindung aus Geschichte und Gegenwart hat mich beeindruckt. Eines der schönsten Museen, die mir nachhaltig im Gedächtnis bleiben.

Ein wirklich lohnenswerter Besuch
Ich war mit meiner 10 jährigen Tochter zu Besuch. Wir hatten Flex-Tickets um entspannter mit dem ÖPNV anreisen zu können. Mit den digitalen Tickets war der Zutritt ohne lange Wartezeiten problemlos. Das Museum ist sehr vielseitig gestaltet. Es gibt viel Lesestoff und interessante Ausstellungsstücke, aber auch tolle Mitmachangebote und Rätselspaß. Die Aktiv- und Mitmachangebote haben meiner Tochter am Besten gefallen, besonders der Lügendetektor und Laserparcoure. Ganz toll!!!
Really informative and fun

Fun and informative museum
This was a really interesting museum detailing the history of espionage from before WW1 through to the modern day. There was also a really nice section of the exhibition around how espionage has been portrayed in the media. There were lots of fun interactive elements e.g. decoding messages, finding bug devices. This was a really fun way to learn more about espionage in Germany and beyond. The gift shop was also very good!
THERE REALLY IS SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE
Had a very interesting visit to this museum. Lovely friendly reception on arrival and there were many great exhibits and some interactive installations for younger visitors. I overhead a lady telling the reception staff that she had a school party with her who had complained every day of their visit to Berlin that they were bored so when she asked what they wanted to do, they chose this museum. Judging by their excited chatter and enjoyment, she struck gold. There really is something for everyone.

Fun, Kid-like atmosphere
This was a great place if you are interested in German spy culture and/or like having fun. It was very interactive, however it defiantly felt geared more towards children or families. I definitely enjoyed the spy movies and props that were displayed in the museum, however a lot of it felt like a lot of information on a bunch of spies and what real-life items can be cameras. It was cool to see, but there were a LOT of things that could be cameras.

Lots to see in the museum with many interactive exhibits that allow you to try code breaking or pretend to be a spy. I especially liked the James Bond exhibit. However, it was very easy to get lost in the museum and the layout meant that you were always bumping into people.

Loved it! Lots of hands on interactive displays, well worth it, spent well over 2 hours here. Not too busy as ticket was time allocated.

Sehr informativ,lehrreich und auch für Kinder interessant gestaltet. Einzig wären mehr Sitzmöglichkeiten gerade an den Audio Stationen wünschenswert, da sich ein Durchgang doch sehr lange dauert/dauern kann..

A real eye opener
I booked this for my 14 year old grandson, we could not believe how interesting it was. From the earliest days of spying and treachery all the way up to current times. It was not only fun it was also so informative. You can get around in an hour or make it 3 hours. You do everything at your pace. I would definitely recommend it .

Good spot in Berlin with kids
Visited this museum with my 11 year old. We both really enjoyed it and there were lots of interactive activities to keep him entertained. We needed about 1.5 hours here.
Interesting and informative
A fun and interesting museum with LOTS of information to take in. Loads to read for adults with some interesting exhibits. Maybe not so much for younger kids, although there were some interactive games (with short-ish queues). Worth a visit though.

This is a great museum - not just historical journey through espionage, but also many hands-on exercises and exhibits to keep younger audience active and interested. Lots of things to look at and engage with - but expect to spend a long time in there if you're committed to reading and exploring all the exhibits.
Unexpected Gem
We went to this museum as I have an interest in WW2 and the Enigma machines. The price seemed high and it sounded a bit lightweight, but we decided to go in. We were captivated from the first moment! A fascinating history of espionage from ancient times to the present day, in both written format and in a coded display. Then lots of interactive games and gadgets as well as detailed stories from the world of espionage, all in German and English. Very imaginatively presented, with something for everyone, young and old. It was just brilliant, much better than expected, and I looked forward to buying the book about the exhibition. I was very sad to find that they only have the book in German. Please, please publish it in English!

Klasse für Kids im Grundschulalter
Wir waren als Familie mit unserer 8-jährigen Tochter im Deutschen Spionagemuseum und hatten richtig viel Spaß – endlich ein Museum, in dem man so viel selbst ausprobieren kann. Besonders der Laserparcours und die vielen „Agenten“-Stationen zum Codes knacken/Geheimschriften testen haben unsere Tochter sehr gefallen, während wir Erwachsenen die spannenden Hintergründe zur Spionage in Berlin super fanden. Klare Empfehlung für Familien ab Grundschulalter!
Ein exzellentes Museumserlebnis!
Eine sehr gute und moderne Ausstellung mit vielen interaktiven Elementen, die Zeitgeschichte hochinteressant mit aktuell relevanten Grundlagen verknüpft. Die Darstellungsformen sind sehr passend gewählt und sorgen für eine abwechslungsreiche Ausstellung ohne Langeweile. Der Eintrittspreis ist gut investiert! Es empfiehlt sich, frühzeitig Tickets zu buchen, da der Andrang gerade am Wochenende noch bis zur letzten Einlasszeit sehr groß ist.
Aktivt museum
Et utroligt spændende museum med mulighed for mange aktiviteter undervejs, så det aldrig bliver kedeligt. Fire timer fløj afsted for os, og vi kunne egentlig godt have blevet der længere tid.

Wir waren im Januar nach den Feiertagen hier. Das Museum war gut besucht, aber nicht überfüllt. Es ist sehr interaktiv gestaltet und bieten neben spannenden Infos auch viel Raum zum Knobeln.
Interessantes und Lehrreiches Museum perfekt für ein Regentag
Ein wirklich tolles und interessantes interaktive Museum, dort lernt man in einem kleinen aber feinen Museum viel über die Spionage Geschichte und verschiedene Anschläge, hier und da kann man auch selber aktiv werden, mit Geheim Schrift schreiben, oder Lpgendetektor oder Labyrinth durch Laser Strahlen. Für Familien sehr zu empfehlen, aber man Brauch ein gewisses Alter
