Un'altra bella sorpresa a Stoccolma!
Dislocato tra l'ampia e poco frequentata sede principale e la "dependance" vicino al Vasa, davanti al quale sono ormeggiate 2 navi visitabili, questo museo è stata una vera scoperta! Pezzi interessantissimi, storia della navigazione da diporto, militare e mercantile, tranquillo, ben organizzato. Che dire di più? È gratuito e la sua piccola mensa offre un buon piatto del giorno in un bell'ambiente e se fa bello su una splendida terrazza. Una vera chicca la sala giochi per i bambini. Attrezzatissimi e pulitissimi sia il locale pic-nic che le toilette: quanto abbiamo da imparare su come concepire un museo!

Explore the boats for free!
We have visited Stockholm many times but were wandering around Djurgarden and chanced on the historic ships moored outside which were open and free to discover. We absolutely loved walking onto the Ice breaker Sant Erik, the little lighthouse boat and the mine sweeper. The are so beautifully kept with a little information in English and the recreation of the galley, officers cabin and crew mess were just brilliant. We saw kids really enjoying the nooks and crannies and living history angle. One of the best free attractions we have stumbled on in Stockholm - another being the Stadt Museet/Stockholm City Museum over by Slussen. Recommend both but check opening as think closed on Mondays.

Best museum experience of the trip
Hands down the best museum in Stockholm.
Open spaces and the entire history of ships, for military and commercial use!
They had a playroom for kids (0-6), stroller parking several places in the museum, treasure hunts, films, guided tours for kids and adults, a cafe, a separate room where you could eat your own food (with a microwave). They even had several baby carriers hanging that anyone could borrow for free while you where there.
Oh, and the automatic doors only works for adults, so the kids can't run outside and fall in the water.
Oh, and when we ere there, the entry was free 🤩

Top museum. Vele maquettes van schepen. Alles mooi gepresenteerd en voorzien van de nodige uitleg. Ook leuk voor de kids.

Friendly staff and informative museum
A highly informative museum, beautifully situatuated next to Djurgården. The staff were very kind and helpful. There is a permanent exhibition, and a couple of temporary exhibitions. The exhibitions are interesting, informative and interactive. I highly recommend this museum! It is also free of charge.

Small but informative
Small but informative. I specially liked the diorama themed models on the steam area .The real ships were clodes to the season which were at the other building ..

Fint museum
Fina fartygsmodeller och utställningar om sjöfarten, trevligt att det inte kostar något, enda tråkiga är att mycket av utställningen har många år på nacken och det skulle behövas förnyas.

Fin samling och intressant särutställning om ostindiska farten
Museet är pampigt och har fina samlingar på olika marina områden. Särutställningen om den svenska ostindiska farten är intressant och det erbjuds ibland en intressant guidning. Och glöm inte att besöka det fina biblioteket och prata med den trevlige bibliotekarien!

Bra ordnat för små.
Besökte museet med mitt barnbarn som är 4 år. Han tyckte om att titta på alla olika modeller med manskap på däck. Lekrummet som är för barn var mindre intressant förutom kranarna som gjord att lamporna ändrade färg. Restaurangen var också trevligt.
Dessutom var inträdet gratis. Vi kommer säkert tillbaka.

Både historia och nutid. Ostindiska kompaniet mycket intressant liksom krigsfartyg. Gott om parkeringar.

Excellent museum for very young kids
Given the ironic shortage of such places in Stockholm, the basement play room is worth the visit alone if you have young kids especially under the age of 5. We have a one year old and a two year old toddler, and they absolutely love the play room. We can spend an entire morning there and then have lunch in the cafe upstairs. Our two year old likes to look at the various boat displays on our way out. Considering it is free to get in, this is a great visit that gives some very interesting naval and maritime history about Sweden, including some great stories. Well worth the visit and there's also several other places to visit nearby.

Musée maritime agréable !
Petit musée situé à proximité notamment de la tour TV Kaknästornet. Il offre en outre de belles maquettes de différents types de navires. Bon accueil. Accès gratuit. Ouvert du mardi au dimanche.

Ein Snack auf einem Eisbrecher
Wir haben nach dem Besuch des Vasa-Museums ein üppiges Krabben-Brot an Deck des ehemaligen Eisbrechers und jetzigen Museumsschiffs "Sankt Erik" gegessen und etwas getrunken. Es war bei Sonnenschein eine angenehme Pause mit Meerfeeling.

Spændende besøg på museet. Engageret frivilligt personales som var klar til at svare på alle spørgsmål (som de kunne svare på)
Var på isbryder og fyrskib.
Ville have været fint om de øvrige var åbnet for besøg.

Für Interessierte sehr interssant
Ein sehr interessantes Museum, vor allem dafür, dass der Eintritt umsonst ist. Besonders interessant sind die Schiffmodelle. Es gibt aber auch wechselnde Ausstellungen.

Ein Must für alle Seeleute - Segler, Marine und Piraten...
Wunderschön gelegenes, stattliches Museum mit Super-Schiffsmodellen von 40 cm bis 4 m Länge, einem interessanten Rundgang zu verschiedenen Themen der Seefahrt mit Aufbauten im Massstab 1:1. Spiel- und Essensräume für Kinder,Tagungsräume etc., sehr freundliches, hilfsbereites Personal, Eintritt gratis, mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln (Bus) erreichbar. Aktuell etwas unruhige, schwer zu verfolgende Sonderschau zu "Sex and the Sea".
