Hop On Berlin
A great way to see all the sights of Berlin, the tour is nearly 3 hours long in one lap. There is an audio guide in several languages. You do get really close to all of the attractions. The bus driver was friendly and welcoming.
Had a great time, highly recommend!
Great service, friendly staff and great views! Would recommend the Hop on Hop off bus as a great way to see Berlin. Be prepared though, the entire route is @2.5 hours long!
Brilliant.
Okay … I have just read the recent reviews and it would seem some individual(s) rated the Sight Seeing of Berlin (Hop On, Hop Off) as not particularly great. However, I have found my tour brilliant. Whilst the tour bus, was not particularly crowded. Claudes, the bus/tour guide, was exceptionally brilliant, so knowledgeable, with a great sense of humour. Appreciated his storytelling of why the Berlin Wall was built,; explained the Berlin Wall Museum and the drawings etc … we stopped twice for a 15 minute break. Claudes, spoke about the history of Berlin and it’s check points. It’s a shame, you can’t ask for Claudes, for your tour guide … he was & is brilliant 😊
Excellent tour guide
We purchased a ticket that gave us a 48 hour pass with guided walking tour and free curry wurst. The directions to activate your ticket were not great, nor was information on redeeming your curry wurst. However the actual tour bus was great. The first driver we had was entirely unhelpful but the other ones were excellent. Also the sellers and agents around the mail stops were super helpful. The English guy we had for the walking tour was hilarious and very knowledgeable. He really did an excellent job.
Mitarbeiter Bewertung
a good way to see Berlin
I would have been unable to experience visiting all of these sights without using this bus service......and just like in London, another bus will soon arrive, after you visit a given stop.
Great tour and relaxing. Easy on and off👍
The bus ride was a great way to see the city and listen to someone tell us about all the highlights of what we were seeing. Super easy to hop on and off. The boat tour was nice but we didn’t understand anything said since it wasn’t in English…but it was still a nice ride.
A good overview of Berlin
Read a few poor reviews but have to say ours was a good experience. Talked to a few of the ticket sellers as they lower their prices as you move around. We were happy with the price we paid. We enjoyed the banter on the commentary and have little to complain about. This company pairs up with another so there's more choice of buses at each stop. There is a negative in that there are no *bus stops* so you have to remember where you got off. We bought tickets and boarded where there were ticket sellers. That helped, but they're not at every stop. One other gripe was other tourists chatting loudly so we couldn't hear the commentary. Overall, a great way to see the highlights of Berlin.
Absolut empfehlenswert
Handy tour bus quite frequent
Tour bus handy - right outside our hotel at East Side Gallery stop! Bought 2 day ticket for extra 4 euros which was worth it. They let you use red hop on and hop off bus as well as the red city sightseeing bus so both were quite frequent. Did full tour took 2 hours but bus does stop as major sights for 15 mins during that time ie Brandenburg gate and also at stop 1. Detailed recorded tour although sometimes it continues even when you are at red lights so unsure what its referring too but still informative. There was a boat ride but we couldnt find where to pick this up from so ended up doing a separate boat tour on Reederei Hadynski which was very good. Bus was clean and soft drinks available but you need cash as card machine didnt work.
A great way to see central Berlin
I traveled to Berlin for a day trip with my son and therefore needed the ability to see as many of the sights in a short space of time and this tour ticked the box. We booked the combined tour and one hour river trip in advance and when we got to the central station it was really easy to find the bus stop, number 19 on the list. As one can imagine the bus was quite full but we managed to get upstairs seats and had great 360 views. A downside, not worth marking down was that the initial Jack for the headphones was as faulty but the next one did. The circular tour takes 2.5 hours if one stays on but the clue is in the name so we hopped off for the river cruise before getting back on at a different stop to get back to the station. The guided information adds humour to interesting facts. Well worth using to understand Berlin
Perfect for a 3- day trip to Berlin
A great way to see the sights over two days - the 2 day ticket is good value. One downside - the really cheesy audio track. Very informative, though.
Preis-Leistung ok.
Migliorare l'esperienza in Italiano
Panorama mozzafiato, meglio cercare biglietti scontati
Consiglio andare all'ora del tramonto.
Worth a visit when in Berlin
Me and my partner were in Berlin for a few days July 2025 and of course had to come see the TV Tower. You can spot at a few places across the city and it’s quite easy to get too. A bit of security to go through to get in but very well organised and staff friendly. Some interesting things to see and so good views. There’s a bar to grab a drink and it didn’t get too busy. With a visit of in Berlin.
Incontournable
Well worth doing if you can.
Superb panoramic views from the top. Lift to the upper levels, then some stairs (with a hand rail). There seemed to be as much time as you wanted to look around. Lots of information displayed as to what buildings one could see. A very good shop with an excellent range of different choices and designs. On the day we visited it was not crowded - I am unaware whether your ticket is timed or if there are limits to the numbers let up at any one time. I paid an extra 3.35 euros for the VR experience, mainly because I have never tried one before. For me it didn't add much to the experience.
Great place to get views of Berlin
My wife and I went to Berlin TV Tower recently whilst on vacation in Berlin. Location is Alexander Platz where there are restaurants and shops and just across river from multiple historical sights. Fee is little more than expected but you are paying for the views. It was little busy so take your time. There are good signs around the viewing areas so you can learn more about the sights. We were there around 1 hour. Recommend to buy tickets ahead of time. And there is bar if you are thirsty and want to take in the sights with drink.
Tickets overpriced - reserve a meal instead
This is too expensive for what it is (a viewing platform over the city). The most cost effective way we thoughts was to book ahead a meal at the Sphere rotating restaurant. This is ‘free’ and you enjoy the same views as the ticketed entry, but only end up paying for the price of the food and drinks you order (again not the cheapest because it is a nice restaurant). The food was great however there wasn’t a lot of choice on the menu, we all ended up going for the Schnitzel
Sehr interessanter Ort...
What a view
Excellent way to spend an hour viewing Berlin from the sky - there are many information boards pointing out the various buildings There is also a bar and a separate restaurant on a higher floor as well
Excellent views and a very enjoyable experience!
We visited twice on our trip to Berlin: once during the daytime, and once in the evening (the latter was mostly to kill some time before getting a sleeper train at night), and both visits were excellent! The views from the tower are amazing and there are helpful explanations of what you can see from angles in the viewing platform. The tickets are not the most cheap, but I would say that the view and the experience justifies the price of the ticket - you really do get amazing views across Berlin! The staff were efficient and friendly, and there is also a bar available (we didn't try the cocktails but they looked amazing!). I would definitely recommend this for anyone visiting Berlin!
Good view of the city and not crowded
Like most observation decks, the admission was a bit on the pricey side, but there was good availability on the day and it wasn't crowded. There's a good view all round of the city, and because of the location you get to see some really iconic buildings like the town hall and the museums.
A fun experience with great views.
We booked the tickets in advance, which was a very good idea. It was a great experience going to the top of the tower and the views were magnificent. It was also good that they had panels explaining the views as well.
Great views
Great views of Berlin. This is an iconic building from the outside. Limited things to do once you are up, but I'd recommend as an essential visit
Marvellous experience but beware accessibility issues
My second visit to the tower restaurant and it's an excellent way to view the city, especially if you time it for when the sun goes down. The restaurant is excellent with marvellous good and friendly staff, well worth it. I was saddened to see that on this visit (April 2026) they no longer have the etchings on the windows that tell you what the landmarks are, what a shame. BUT I have a major issue: if you or anyone in your party have mobility issues then the building is not designed to be accessible. One of our party was using crutches and to start with the security guard on the door wouldn't let us in until he tested if our friend could walk unaided. Because of fire regulations, he said. As if rendering a person immobile in the event of a fire is a good thing? Our friend insisted that they needed one crutch at least, and he reluctantly agreed providing we checked the other crutch into the cloakroom. Bizarre. There are several flights of stairs to navigate to reach the lift which our friend found to be quite taxing. Once you arrive at the observation deck there's yet another set of steps to get to the restaurant. All stairways are wide enough to accommodate a person with two crutches, which means the "policy" makes it harder to get around rather than easier, which I would argue is more of a fire hazard. Overall it's a wonderful experience - but they do need to sort out the accessibility issues. You need to be able to climb up and down stairs.
Great view
Compared to other tower viewpoints in cities across the world, the space in this one is a little tight so try and identify less busy times to visit and book in advance. I would also say Berlin perhaps has less interesting sights to view from above (Vs say London or NYC) but you can see Brandenburg gate, Reichstag, Rathaus etc. The tower itself is more interesting as a build of East Berlin.
Berlin Landmark
Like the Eye in London or the Eiffel Tower in Paris Berlin also has a large landmark. It's the TV antenna which dominates the city skyline and can be seen from a distance. If you want to visit travel to Alexanderplatz and you will not be able to miss it. You have to pay a fee to travel up to the top and there are souvenirs available to purchase from the gift shop at the base. Well worth checking out if you want to get views of the city.
Good view of the city
Enjoyed the view from the TV Tower but found the app giving info about the buildings very frustrating. We went during the daytime and I imagine it would be fun in the evening with a drink at the bar. I gave it a 4 out of 5 as both my son and I really enjoyed the VR History of Berlin which was extra but worth doing (although the seats were very uncomfortable - the ‘cushion’ they gave you was more like a slightly padded handkerchief) as it was short enough to keep my son’s attention but hit all of the main points of history and was entertaining for both of us.
Iconic
Probably the most iconic building of Berlin like Brandenburg Gate and Reistchag. Try to order the ticket before. Restaurant/cafeteria is extremely average.l
A must-see view
Berliner Fernsehturm has a lot of history and is definitely worth a visit. The view from the top is a must and offers an impressive perspective over the entire city, especially if it’s your first time in Berlin. We also tried the VR experience, which was very interesting and gave us a great way to follow Berlin’s history through different periods. The comfortable bar at the top is a nice bonus and makes the whole experience even better.
Imposing
One of the most famous television towers in the world. It was built by the communists to have a monument of their era in Berlin.
Value for Money
Had a lovely experience, bought tickets in advance, through security no problem, very smooth and fast lift to the top. It was quiet when we visited so really made the most of the amazing views. Well worth a visit.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️☆ “Terrifying views but totally worth it. Great experience.
Security was ridiculously quick — I was through in under five minutes, no faff at all, which was amazing. The staff were super friendly, helpful, and actually noticed if anyone looked nervous (aka me 😅), making the whole experience way less stressful. And then… the views. Oh my gosh. Standing at the top, seeing the whole city below you, it’s stunning and terrifying at the same time. The elevator shot up so fast I nearly brought up my dinner, and I spent most of my time gripping the railing like my life depended on it 🤣. Yes, it’s a bit crowded at the viewing platform and a little pricey, but the combination of jaw-dropping views, awesome staff, and speedy, stress-free entry makes it totally worth it. Would I recommend it? Absolutely — if you want epic city views and a dash of adrenaline, this is the one. Just maybe don’t look down too much 😂. It’s much better at night.
Unfriendly welcome, good view experience
Visited new years day. Bought the berlin all inclusive welcome card and visited the tower to book (you can't book online using the card). Lady on reception (dark curly hair tied back) was quite rude and dismissive. Told us to go upstairs and scan it. As we left reception we noticed there were coat stands behind reception to leave your outdoor clothes, so we waited til someone was free to take them. Same lady came over and said "do you have a restaurant booking" which she clearly knew we didn't as she had just served us. We answered we didn't and she said "well then you have to take your coats with you". She was clearly annoyed for some reason. We went upstairs to work out which bit to scan and whilst having a problem another member of staff kindly came over to help. Wasn't the best start to using the card and I wondered if all places would react this way - thankfully was just here. Bad start aside, the experience was good at the top the view was good. I think we were only there 30 mins tops but worth for unique experience.
VR headset experience better than the top of the tower
The ticket process was very good and it is near Alexanderplatz station. The lift was not great as the restaurant was being renovated, but the views were good. The VR headset experience was actually the highlight of the tour.
Absolutely worth it!
It was lovely, stunning views from the observation deck and the restaurant. Restaurant had amazing food and absolut lovely staff caring for the guests. It’s worth going again, maybe at a later time of the day to see the sunset.
Pricey but interesting
Interesting place to visit. Would recommend going up once you have toured Berlin a little so you know what you are looking at. There are QR codes inside which bring up a viewing app but it didn’t work and was showing the wrong buildings. Thankfully I knew what to look for. It is quite pricey for what it is. We only spent 10 minutes up there and we had been round twice. Still, glad we went up. Tip - book online for discount and don’t expect tickets to be available if you just walk up.
