Keukenhof far exceeded our expectations! We came for the tulips, and while they were stunning in full bloom, what truly surprised us were the vast, thoughtfully designed gardens—so much more than just rows of flowers. Every section offered something unique, with vibrant color displays, artistic landscaping, and serene spots perfect for soaking it all in. It took us about three hours to explore the entire park at a relaxed pace, so be sure to wear comfortable shoes. The pathways are easy to navigate, though you’ll need some patience with the crowds, especially during peak bloom. The food and drink options on-site were pleasantly affordable, which was a nice surprise. One important tip: buy your tickets online in advance. When we arrived, no tickets were available for purchase at the entrance, and many visitors were turned away. Take time to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere, the fresh floral perfume in the air, and the picturesque scenery around every corner. Keukenhof is truly a feast for the senses and a must-visit for anyone in the Netherlands during tulip season!

It's all quite overwhelming the beauty of this place and the variety of tulips ! The pathways around are super smooth and so easy. Good restaurant. Amazing lifetime experience !

Only one word to describe this place - amazing! Our 2nd visit with the first way back in 2017 and the place is amazing as it was in the first visit. Thanks to the hardwork of all the staff.

We were there on opening day. A beautiful park with so many flowers. Very clean. Ground staff is very helpful. Good food in the cafeterias. A must when in Holland. Only 90 mins from Amsterdam by bus, closer to airport.

Awesome gardens! Most beautiful display of flowers EVER seen. Not to be missed during your visit to Amsterdam Mid-March to Mid-May. Enjoyed Hop-on/Hop-off bus from A'Dam Tourist Center to gardens. Spent 4 hours marveling at "nature's finest flower display". All ages shall certainly enjoy the experience. Gardens can be very crowded, especially on holidays like King's Day! Still GO!

Organisation fluide,

I dropped my phone in the canal near the windmill. I want to thank the staff for letting me jump into the canal to retrieve it. And thank them for offering dry clothes. Everything else was also great and amazing!

I wasn’t sure what to expect from Keukenhof Gardens, but it ended up being one of the true highlights of my trip. The gardens are absolutely stunning—perfectly manicured, vibrant, and filled with some of the most inspiring tulip displays you’ll ever see. It's a dream for photographers and social media lovers alike, with beautiful backdrops around every corner. A tip: arrive right when they open. With over 26,000 visitors a day, it gets busy very quickly, and the peacefulness of the early morning is something special. Wandering the gardens before the crowds arrive really lets you soak in the colors, scents, and creativity of the displays. Even if you think gardens might not be your thing, Keukenhof is truly an unforgettable experience. I loved it far more than I ever expected—and I'd go back in a heartbeat.

Amazingly beautiful gardens! Tulips in a wide array of color were planted artistically throughout the grounds. It was hard to stop taking pictures as each turn brought a new view and combination of hues. Lovely!

Wunderschön angelegte Gärten und Tulpenfelder. Alles sehr schön gepflegt! Eine Augenweide wo man auch hinschaut. Sehr gut organisiert

This is the world's largest flower garden with around 7 million bulbs planted each year. It covers 32 hectares (79 acres). It really is HUGE. This was meant to be the highlight of my coach holiday but unfortunately my experience was somewhat spoilt by the sheer volume of people. I felt that I couldn't see or experience it properly. I guess that's to be expected at world renowned tourist sites. The whole park is very impressive though - both in flower displays and overall scenery. The main shop is at the entrance where you can buy all manner of souvenirs from Dutch rubber ducks, through to plush tulips. The highlight of the shop was of course the tulip bulbs themselves and you could purchase a good selection of them. They are already potted up in display bags. A smaller shop next door sold different bulbs including hyacinths. The shops are expensive and like everywhere here WAY too peopley. There are other smaller shops around the park. I have ASD and so found it very difficult to relax during my time here. The toilets are free to use and were clean. Apparently, maps were available at the entrance, but I didn't find them. I can't read maps anyway, so just went exploring without one. The park is so big, it felt quite overwhelming at times. This year's festival doesn't have a theme. You don't know what you're going to find around the next corner. I stumbled upon a barrel organ called The Adriaen. I LOVED it and bought 2 CD's for €10 each. My other highlight was the windmill, which you can climb and also venture inside at the top if you wish. As beautiful as Keukenhof Park was, I wouldn't go back. It was far too big and overcrowded for me. I felt that the flowers got a bit lost amongst the huge crowds.

Paradise on earth. A sea of flowers. God's creativity arranged by human creativity. A perfect combination. A feast for the senses. Give it as much time as you can. A full day was almost enough but we didn't see everything. Good selection of places to eat, shops, exhibitions and benches to rest.

Accessibile in sedia a rotelle, è quasi totalmente pianeggiante.

I would go back every year if I could. This place is great and I had a lovely time with my friends just walking around and appreciating the nature.

This was the highlight of my trip to Amsterdam. This is peak season for the tulips and it is worth dealing with crowds to see the spectacular display of colorful flowers at every turn. Beautifully laid out, very walkable, lots of cafes. Simply wonderful.

A beautiful park with amazing variety of flowers of all shapes and colors. We visited on Sunday, April 20, and I knew it would be crowded, but I didn’t realize it would be THAT CROWDED. Still, I’m happy we went, just needed to overcome an initial shock - incredible flower compositions around helped a lot. Getting there and from: we had a combi ticket with a bus departing from the airport at 13:00. We arrived at bus stop about 30 min earlier expecting a line, but there was none. The bus left at about 12:40, it wasn’t packed, some people were standing, and due to traffic it took us 1 hour to get there. We left the park at about 18:30, waited for the bus for about 10 min and it took us 30 min to get to the airport. Tickets: we got the tickets from the keukenhof website 4 days in advance, kind of in the last moment. I thought the Thursday before Easter weekend could be a safe plan b, as it looked like there were plenty of slots available, we were arriving to Amsterdam on that day, so wanted to see how it goes, but two days before the tickets for the Thursday were sold out, so we grabbed what was available ;). So, yeah, getting them in advance is the way to go. The park is well organized even with a crowd- it wasn’t a problem to eat or find a toilet. Coming with own food would be a great idea, so you could find a spot away from crowds. We didn’t bother with boats or the mill-there was a line even in the end if the day. If you come with kids, don’t miss the playground and the maze. In terms of time, we spent more than 4 hours there and it was enough. We had a flight to catch, otherwise we’d consider coming later and staying until the closing - the conditions were nice in the afternoon ( the weather was sunny on the day).

Keukenhof was absolutely breathtaking, a true feast for the eyes! We visited on Easter Friday (a public holiday) and arrived at 9:15 AM. Entry was super easy and the gardens were peaceful and perfect for photos early on. By lunchtime, though, it was packed! So if you want to enjoy the flowers without the crowds, definitely go first thing. The variety of tulips and garden designs were stunning. Definitely a must do in the Netherlands during spring. Just wear comfy shoes and bring your camera because you’ll be snapping non-stop!

Incredible and a must see!! If you visit the Netherlands in the spring, a tulip park is a must! I’ve never seen so many flowers in one park!!

Heel mooie bloemenparken. Mooi onderhouden. Alles was in volle bloei op 18 april 2025. Vriendelijk personeel. Wel super druk.

This is without a doubt the most beautiful garden for spring flowers you could ever hope to see. We have been fortunate to see this beautiful place several times. We were there on 4/18/25, it had been 10 years since the last visit and things are really different and better for the hordes of people daily. This is a place to see if you can. If you like flowers and especially spring flowers, go don’t wait, you will not be disappointed.
skyandsands
Booked the tickets online which was a very easy process. When you arrive it’s a bit overwhelming with the crowds but it’s very well organised and after the entrance it spreads out quite well. So wonderful to see all the tulips and spring flowers. Most cafés inside only take cards and no cash. It’s the place to go if you love tulips and flowers. Highly recommend
TanielV1918
This is a botanical garden. An astonishing one… The quantity and variety of flowers that I saw here, are more, than the sum of all the flowers, in quantity and variety, in my entire life. Thanks to this place, I suddenly discovered that I love flowers… despite their astronomic quantity and variety in this incredible, and I had to see them all ! from many angles !! This magical place is the result of very, very hard work, by highly qualified and competent people, for sure. Therefore, the entrance fee is fully deserved. Note : do not confuse this with the tulip fields. There are not such huge, large field of flowers, here. HOWEVER, there are some fields, on the last section of the road which will get you to this botanical extravaganza garden. So, this is what I suggest that you do : get there by car (taxi, Uber…), because you can't do this if you are riding a tour-bus. When you get at the last 1 km of the entrance of this Park, ask the driver to leave you there. And walk, the rest of the way… enjoying the breathtaking tulip fields on your right… (while being very careful, so that the numerous people on bicycles do not hit you - it's like that everywhere, in Holland… better get used to it when you are visiting… and always watch your back, literally… and your flanks also… - . In light of the explanation above, in the pictures that I am hereby posting, the flower fields are situated on the side of the last kilometer of road leading to the Entrance of Keukenkof. You cannot see these fields once you have reached the Entrance, because of the vast parking areas for the cars and the buses. The rest is a minimal sampling of the mind-buggling flowers awaiting you inside…

Parc absolument magnifique, bien entretenu, accessible.

Such an array of tulips. Formal gardens many sections are roped off. The indoor flower houses are very pretty but busy when we went. The whispering boat tour was busy. Not the best to take photos of the tulips in the fields because the boat is lower than the fields. Does come with audio tour if you want to use the headphones. The windmill had a constant large queue so didn’t get chance to go up. Miffy was there and a small shop selling miffy goods. Was very expensive. You could queue up to have photos with miffy. Free toilets. We spent 4 hours there.
alienwang2012
Although the graden was very crowded, it was really worth the visit. The tulips are indeed very beautiful and the garden is huge.

Rather than go on how beautiful it is some tips: Book entrance and car parking on line You will be there three hours Take a picnic you can find benches away from the crowds Listen to the birds singing in the trees Get away from the main entrances as quick as possible especially the one which has the coaches. Visit Como and co for afternoon coffee or tea and cake or light tea
Tigger103
We were blessed with a sunny day which made our visit here an absolute delight. There are many different independent travel and tour & combo options to get here which are all explained on the tulip festival Amsterdam website. We opted for an afternoon tour departing from ‘this is Holland’ near the Adam lookout which also included the evening illuminated flower parade at Noordwijk. There was so much to see at Kukenhof that we didn’t cover every area of the park in our almost 4 hour visit. We expected it to be busy and it certainly was although it did get quieter as it got closer to closing time. Top tips : If you want to do the whisper boat get a ticket as soon as you arrive. If you see something in one of the shops - buy it ! Don’t assume that everything will be repeated in the shop near the exit.
Kathrine
Stunning! Such beautiful gardens meticulously maintained. We planned our trip for mid-April in the hopes of a near-peak to peak experience. Keukenhof did not disappoint. It was spectacular! So much color and so many varieties. We booked the combo bus/entrance ticket from Haarlem. Bus was very easy to find and we disembarked very close to main entrance. We could leave whenever we wanted and catch the bus back to Haarlem. Recommend arriving as early as you can. It seemed to get more crowded mid-day. Highly recommend.
Holmeboy1974
Well worth the trip and would certainly recommend going. Lovely, although busy. Expect a crowd. Only things we would change from this visit: - never use qbuzz again - think about what going to eat there, as the food is limited, and a bit too jazzy if you want something plain.
sunrise99
Visited the gardens for the first time ever and cannot fault anything there. Every area was great and we saw some beautiful flowers today. I booked the tickets for the garden from the official garden website and it linked me to tickets to book the bus. I booked the tickets several months ago. However the Q- Buzz bus left a lot to be desired. Although allocated a specific time the queues were long and buses infrequent. On the way back we waited with more long queues and a shortage of buses. The bus appeared overcrowded with lots of people having to stand. Once we got on the bus the driver got off. The visitor organiser drove the bus to a parking spot and watched and waited on the bus until another driver got on. The new driver drove off with the windows misted up. Later in the journey he got a passenger to wipe the front window down. He proceeded to text whilst driving. I think passenger safety is paramount and texting whilst driving unacceptable. I recommend when booking the trip to go to the local tourist information centre and book the garden trip with them. It was €20 cheaper pp and hopefully you will get a safe driver.

We took the tram to Central station and there you catch the ferry for free. Once you get across, you’re gonna go over the bridge to the This is Holland building and check-in. There you will catch the shuttle bus it’ll take you to Keukenhof. It takes about an hour ride and you’ll see fields of tulips. I suggest getting there very early as the crowds are very heavy as the day goes on. Nice trip for all ages. Cannot describe the smells, sounds and beauty A must see. April 15, 2025 perfect time and weather
