Viden har altid været magt, og det er derfor, at spioner har eksisteret lige så længe som den menneskelige civilisation selv. I det gamle Egypten var spioner kendt som "faraoens øjne", i Persien kaldte kong Kyros dem for sine mange "øjne og ører", og selv general Sun Tzu helligede et helt kapitel til spioner i sin berømte "Krigskunst".
Under den kolde krig var Berlin det sted, hvor øst mødte vest, og ingen andre steder havde Sovjet- og NATO-magterne så tæt kontakt med hinanden. Derfor er Berlin det bedste sted at lære alt om spionernes verden. Du kan besøge det Tyske Spionmuseum på den tidligere grænse, selve Berlinmurens dødsstribe.

Når du besøger det Tyske Spionmuseum, vil du ikke kun lære alt om spionernes verden, men du kan også afprøve dit eget spionspil. Fra at finde mikrofoner til at dekryptere koder, skrive hemmelige beskeder med forsvindende blæk. At sende morsebeskeder, bestå en løgnedetektor og bryde et pengeskab er nogle af de ting, som en spion skal kunne, og som du kan prøve.
På det Tyske Spionmuseum kan du endda prøve dig frem i en laserlabyrint. Du har to minutter til at forsøge at komme igennem på den måde, du kan. Uanset om du hopper, kryber eller kravler, skal du bare sørge for, at du ikke rører ved laserstrålerne.

Ok oplevelse.
Som en stor fan af James Bond og kryptografi, så var der jo oplagt at tage på spion museum. Man bliver sluset ind i tidsintervaller af 15 minutter, hvilket er en god ting, så at museet for udjævnet de besøgende. For der er rigeligt mulighed for at komme til at stå i kø. Der er mange interaktive elementer i udstillingen og der er her at der nemt opstår køer. Vi stod ret lang tid i kø efter to teenagere, der ikke kunne finde ud af, at bruge en drejeskive telefon. Selv efter at vi havde vist dem, hvordan at de skulle bruge den, tog der langt tid og de opgav til sidst. Mine kone brugte lagt tid på at fornøje sig med de forskellige rigtige spion gadgets. Interessant nok, men jeg havde ligesom set det før. Perlen i samlingen er helt deres Enigma maskine. Fantastisk at se denne maskine i virkeligheden. Men igen intet nyt under solen, hvis at man i forvejen ved noget om kryptografi. Der er en lille samling af ting, der har været med i en James Bond film. Sjovt nok at se Jaws’es jakkesæt, hvilket giver en ide om, hvor stor Richard Kiel var. Men ellers er der ikke det vilde. Der var nogle chips fra Casino Royale, som Mads Mikkelsen havde spillet med (den danske vinkel). Endeligt var der en laser labyrint, hvilket var sjovt. Men igen var køen lidt lang (ikke Disneyland lang, men den var der). Vi brugt to timer der. Moderen var godt underholdt. Teenageren og jeg var ok underholdt. Hvis at man ikke ved om noget spioner er dette et sjovt museum, men ellers er ikke så meget at komme efter. Prisen var ok til €14,50 per person. Prisen variere hvis efter udbud og efterspørgsel. Noget kuriøst er, at for at komme tilbage til garderoben, så skal kan ud af bygningen og ind der, hvor at man startede.

Great museum, good fun and lots to interest everyone
This is a really fun museum. We found it slightly by accident and then looked it up, read a few reviews and decided to visit on the last morning of our trip. Very pleased we did! It's a really interesting tour through espionage in general and Berlin's history of it, with some fun things like lie detectors and the laser maze too. Quite a lot of interactive exhibits too.

Fabulous!
The spy museum is amazing! It is a fascinating dive into the world of espionage and there is a wonderful mix of educational exhibits and hands on activities to keep kids engaged and entertained. My son especially loved the laser maze. It's well worth a visit.

Unbedingt einen Besuch wert! James Bond wäre begeistert...
Ein unglaublich gut recherchiertes und höchst ansprechend präsentiertes Museum, das nicht nur Fakten zur Spionage vermittelt, sondern gleichzeitig Wissen zur deutsch-deutschen Geschichte, zum Kalten Krieg und diversen politischen Themen auffrischt. Die Vielzahl an originalen Exponaten ist erstaunlich; ein mentaler Overload wird durch eine Reihe von kurzweiligen Hands-on-Experimenten vermieden. Kinder < 12 Jahren dürften sich mit der Masse an theoretischem Wissen noch schwertun. Interessierte Jugendliche und Erwachsene können hier jedoch locker > 4 h verbringen und haben noch immer nicht alles gesehen/gehört/gelesen. Der im Anschluss zuhause gemeinsam gesehene Film "The Imitation Game" mit Benedict Cumberbatch bekam eine neue Bedeutung: Man möchte gleich noch einmal ins Museum gehen, um die echte "Enigma"-Dechiffriermaschine im Detail zu betrachten. Schade, dass es (noch) kein umfassendes Buch zur Ausstellung gibt. Die Reservierung der Karten via App lohnt sich - je später man diese kauft, desto teurer wird der Eintritt. Zudem existieren vergünstigte Kombi-Tickets für das Deutschland-Museum gleich nebenan. Unbedingt viel Zeit einplanen!

Good couple of hours entertainment and fun.
Great if your interested in the black arts of spy craft and esponaige - has a decent 007 M Bond - James Bond if you don't mind exhibit. Also some fun things for kids to do including a laser maize. Plenty of historical and adult info and items to keep most interested. Worth a visit in easy to find location.

Lots to learn and do
Just sitting in the cafe after having our mind blown by the array of items on display. We spent nearly two hours going around the various displays and still feel like we rushed it - there is a lot to read and interact with as well as look at the various displays. Definitely worth a visit

Il museo in sé per sé è carino, ci sono numerose cose interattive e vengono mostrati numerosi oggetti che venivano usati dalle spie. Il percorso è molto carino e divertente da seguire, è perfetto se si vuole visitare qualcosa di leggero e in “breve” tempo (circa un’ora). Nonostante ció, abbiamo pagato il biglietto alla cassa 15€ scontato, grazie alla Berlin Welcome Card (altrimenti avremmo pagato 20€ circa) peró il costo non vale l’esperienza secondo me. Sicuramente avremmo risparmiato a farlo online in anticipo quindi se ne avete la possibilità fatelo, ma dopo averlo visitato posso dire che quel prezzo non ha senso.

Leuk, leerzaam maar iets te druk om 5 sterren te kunnen geven
Leuk, heel goed bedacht en uitgedokterd en leuke spellen en interacties, zowel voor kinderen, tieners als ouders een leuke activiteit. Leerzaam ook, alleen was het iets te druk waardoor voor sommige activiteiten een wachtrij stond. Maar zeker de moeite!

Perfect for adults, families even with small children.
Good little museum. Plenty to see on an adult level but also loads for small children to get hands on with. Covers the art of espionage through the ages, it's use in the wars and cold war era and in TV and film.

Absolutely amazing!
An absolutely amazing place to visit for all ages. We have 3 children ranging from 9-14 and we could have all stayed there the whole day. Nearly everything has an interactive element, whether that is cracking a code to writing in morse code, through to the laser challenge. In addition to the interactive elements there are lots of stories of spies and the methods they used throughout history up to today. We had to drag the children (and my wife me) away in the end. With children this is a must do if you’re visiting Berlin.

Excellent
Went to you yesterday. Got tickets but had to wait an hour as staggered access. Well worth the weight! Spent a couple of hours in here but could’ve stayed an awful lot longer. Even though it was August it was air-conditioned and felt quite spacious! Really good really interesting and would love to go back.

Worth further investigation
The German Spy Museum does a good job of catering both to children and to adults interested in the history and gadgetry of espionage or who, like Brosnan's James Bond, "never grew up". You can search for microdots on the cover of Playboy, search a desk for bugs, attempt to navigate a cinematic laser maze, reassemble shredded documents, try your hand at safecracking, and so on. There's some great information about 20th century spycraft and also a spectacular collection of now-obsolete spy equipment – some replicas, many originals – and a few props from James Bond movies. I was a little disappointed by the lack of exploding pens in the gift shop, but that was also full of stuff that I would have adored as a kid. 007/10.

Sehenswert!
Das Museum ist toll aufgezogen. Es gibt viele interaktive Möglichkeiten, doch aufgrund der hohen Auslastung mit teilweise hoher Wartezeit verbunden. Interessante Fakten und Ausstellungsstücke. Absolut Sehenswert. Verbrachten zwei tolle Stunden dort.

Great interactive experience- definitely worth the money!
Great interactive museum with a lot of information on espionage since the early ages. Great and detailed overview of the times of the cold war and about different spies and counter spying. You can also take quizzes, take photos pretending to be a spy, do a Laser Parcours and much more. In the end the museum takes you into challenges of today’s cyber world. It is really worth the money.!

Well worth it got in for free with Berlin welcome card and did have to wait about 30 mins as to make sure it doesn’t get crowded they have time slots that you need to book even with the welcome card. Lots of easy to read info, cool spy gadgets to see and several interactive things to use such as the laser challenge and how good are you at reading lips. Gift shop and mini cafe next door to spend the time.

there is so much we didnt know about the German spy's
loads to do . be warned its on the list for schools to visit,so it could be full . spread over 3 floors .very interactive . cafe was very good and not expensive

A lot of interesting spy stuff.
This museum had a lot of interesting exhibits/items and even a few interactive (try to decode this). There were videos of interviews with security experts. Really enjoyed it. Looked like the only 2 languages supported were German and English, so if you don’t speak either, it might not be a great place to go.

Een boeiende tentoonstelling. Veel informatie en véél te zien. Neem de tijd. Het is wel een druk bezochte tentoonstelling. Maar zeer de moeite waard.

Très documenté, minutieusement. Peut-être trop à mon avis mais pour les passionnés, c'est très instructif. Prévoir beaucoup de temps si vous voulez tout lire. D'ailleurs, ce musée est très fréquenté.

Sehr schönes, modernes, reichlich ausgestattetes, interaktives Museum am Potsdamer Platz mit allerdings hohen Eintrittspreisen. Wir haben hier fast zwei Stunden verbracht und einen sehr guten Einblick in die Welt des Ausspähens erhalten.

Very good - could be even better with portable seats and a lift. And book ahead!
A very interesting museum. You could spend all day there! Lots of interesting exhibits, some hands-on things to play with. It's on two levels and there doesn't seem to be a lift, so it isn't ideal for wheelchairs, familiies with buggies, etc. There are boxes you can sit on but it would be better if they had portable seats as in many art galleries, for those who can't stand for long periods. Admission at the door is €16 standard for adults, but you can typically save €2 each by booking online, and you can then be sure of entry. Why do entertainments never list their admission prices at the door? There are lockers available and a cafe. Burn this review after reading...

Spannendes Museum, auf Besuchsarme Zeiten achten
Das Spionagemuseum gibt einen Einblick in die Methoden der Spionage auch mit dem lokalen Bezug zu Berlin aber auch zur Geschichte der deutschen Nachrichtendienste. . Für die Kinder war es ebenso spannend wie für die Eltern, wenn auch sicher aus verschiedenen Perspektiven. Die Ausstellungstücke sind sehr vielfältig und abwechslungsreich. Allerdings muss man sagen, dass das Museum sehr voll war, obwohl wir unter der Woche dort waren. Das hat den Besuch von der Qualität her sehr stark reduziert. Insbesondere mehrere Parallelführungen haben das ganze sehr schwierig gemacht. Auch die interaktiven Exponate waren mit längeren Wartezeiten verbunden. Deswegen bin ich hin und hergerissen ob ich nur 3 Punkte gebe, bleibe aber mal bei 4.

Fun interactive museum
We enjoyed this, lots of hands on things to do - we particularly liked the laser maze. It was really busy when we were there - lots of school groups so we didn’t get to try everything as there were queues. I’d recommend booking your slot online in advance - we didn’t and couldn’t get in for over an hour. Loads of information to read so you could easily spend a few hours, but 12 year olds have other ideas!

Super interessante Ausstellung auch für Kinder
Wir waren von dieser Ausstellung total begeistert. Wir waren auch total überrascht wie groß die Ausstellung ist. Es gibt viele Sachen, die man ausprobieren kann (morsen, Lügendetektor, Laserparcour). Unsere Kinder (7 und 12) fanden es super. Wir waren 2,5 Stunden da.

Fantastic spot. Everyone in the family enjoyed it, especially the kids. So many interactive things to do. Especially loved the James Bond area and the laser challenge. Would go back anytime.

Interesting exhibits; lots to read; some fun interactive exhibits but very busy!
Lots of exhibits. If your kids aren’t readers this museum probably isn’t for them. Some interactive stuff. They really broke down spy craft to the very origins which was neat to read about.

Fantastic experience and great museum for children and adults alike!
We went to visit the Spy Museum. We had read the mixed reviews and were not sure about what to expect. It started out well with the online booking, where we could book for a specific arrival time. Presumably done based om feedback of long lines and to many people. It was REALLY a great, informative, enlightning and a fun experience. We were there with a 10-year-old and a 15-year-old. We stayed for app 1 1/2 h and could have stayed longer. Really one of the best museums I’ve visited with our kids!

Einige interaktive „Spionageaufträge“, Highlight war der Lügendetektor. Sehr viel zu lesen, aber interessant und kurzweilig organisiert. Einen Besuch auf alle Fälle wert.

Sehr gut gemachtes Museum Man muss zwar einiges lesen, aber dies ist kurz und spannend präsentiert! Viele spannende Beispiele über die Art der Politik mit Ihren Facetten dieser Welt! Auch die diversen aktiv Möglichkeiten für jedermann! Als die Hollywood Filme sind ein Abklatsch von dessen was bereits alles in dieser Welt geschehen ist und aktuell angewandt wird von dem wir keine Ahnung haben! Eigentlich ist diese Museum ein sehr spannender Einblick in die Welt Politik! Sehr zu empfehlen ; nicht nur bei schlechtem Wetter

A must do in Berlin
Fabulous experience, we all had a super time, the kids have just finished WW2 and moved onto the Cold War at school, so this was perfect. So much to see and do, very interactive, easy to navigate & great for all ages. Really interesting, great learning experience & everyone loved the Mission Impossible laser at the end. We were in there 3 hours …… Thoroughly recommended, a must do in Berlin

Informative and Fun
As a family we visited and really had a fun time with many of the hands-on exhibits. Creating passwords and testing their strength, trying to locate a bug, as well as the laser challenge obstacle course. These were all exciting for all of us. There was a enough things to read and to try for a more than an hour or two. We sort of lost track of time engaging with so many interesting areas. My 9 year old son enjoyed dressing up in disguise, reading displays, and getting to try various spy craft elements that were really well done.

Bra men lite mycket folk
Oj oj oj, spännande med ett sådant museum! Laserhinderbanan var bra, men också de olika utmaningarna man skulle göra. Enda minuset var att det var för mycket kö till de roligaste sakerna.

Documenti ed articoli vari legati allo spionaggio, sia tedesco sia internazionale. E' consigliato sia ad adulti sia a bambini. E' presente anche una sala dove, per gioco, ci si può mettere alla prova nel tentativo di superare una serie di allarmi tracciati coi laser. Nota negativa: ho trovato assurdo dover uscire da una parte e rientrare poi da un'altra per poter accedere al guardaroba. In caso di freddo o maltempo non è proprio una cosa gradita.

Tolles Museum - viel zum Mitmachen!
Definitiv einen Besuch wert! Am besten vorab das Ticket holen, wenn man in den Ferien unterwegs ist, dafür muss man auch nicht übermäßig viel warten. Hat allen Spaß gemacht.

Sehr tolles Erlebnis
Wir waren in den Ferien dort und trotzdem war es nicht überfüllt.Es gab viele ausgestellte Sachen die sehr unter waren.Es gab einen Raum mit einem Laser Parkour der sehr viel Spaß gemacht hat. Es gab auch Kopfhörer auf denen man sich Texte anhören konnte.Was am besten war war ein kleiner Luftschacht durch den man Klettern konnte.

Top target to visit. Partially misleading name "museum". Even Teenagers enjoyed it as there are plenty of different activities to do.

Good but could be more interactive
Lots to see and lots of information however we thought there was more to do. It was quite busy even though midweek and lots of children monopolising the exhibits. Definitely worth a visit and maybe a private tour would give you more interaction
