Flexible and personal walking tours in Amsterdam

With these Vox City Walks tours in Amsterdam, you can explore the city and two small fishing villages just outside the city at your own pace. With the help of the Vox City Walks app, you can join two guided tours in the city at the time and place of your choosing, as the app will tell you where the guides are at any given time during the day.

Your ticket includes 2 guided and 6 self-guided tours, and you can hop from one tour to the next and back again as you please. The Amsterdam guided city tours will help you gain unparalleled insights into both modern and historic Amsterdam, while the self-guided tours delve deeper into Amsterdam’s central neighbourhoods and take you to the old fishing villages just beyond the city limits.

Guided walking tours in Amsterdam

The Amsterdam guided walking tours goes beyond introducing you to the city’s most famous landmarks. The tours are led by friendly local guides with lots of knowledge of the city. The guides can tell you all about the trendiest shops, coolest cafes and hippest hangout spots too. The Museum District tour teaches you more about the old-south area and is here to help you decide which of Amsterdam’s many museums you should visit. Amsterdam has so many museums that visiting them all is near impossible, so why not first learn all about the different museums, where they are and what treasures they hold for you.

The Essential Amsterdam Tour moves around the city; from the city centre with some of Amsterdam’s most iconic landmarks, including the National Monument and the Royal Palace, to the Jordaan, the Red Light District and the Jewish Quarter.

Self-guided walking tours in and beyond Amsterdam

The self-guided walking tours that are included for free with your ticket knit together to show you the very fabric of Amsterdam. In the app, follow the routes and listen to the audio that tells the stories of the things you are seeing. There are self-guided walking tours in Amsterdam for the Jordaan, the Red Light District, the Jewish Quarter and across the canals and bridges. With these self-guided tours, you can explore Amsterdam’s oldest neighbourhoods.

Included with your ticket are also two walking tours beyond the city. The Fishermen and Folklore Tour will take you around the fishing village of Volendam, which dates back to the 14th century. And the Old School Holland tour will show you all the best sights of Marken, a former island in the Markermeer. Both towns are steeped in tradition and culture, including the wearing of traditional clothing which is still worn to this day.
