Excellent. Must do if you like Heineken.
Told story of how Hei started and evolved to today. Includesmarketing, family history, science behind beer making, and an interactive ride. Also included free tokens to the beer for tasting and have the option to go up to rooftop silo as well. Excellent placement of the tour stops in the actual first brewery. You actually walked through what used to be the silos.

Great tour
This was much better than expected! Loved all the interaction there was around the tour (even for a non beer drinker) The staff were really friendly and helpful. Only downside I would say is we brought the personalised bottle and were so excited to bring it home as a keepsake of our trip. It was only when collecting it we got told that if we had hand luggage only for our flight home the bottle would need to be empty due to liquid limits! Maybe it could be looked at as an option of buying the personalised bottle with or without beer depending on your travel limits home

Nice activity in Amsterdam
One of the activities that can be done in Amsterdam. We loved it, staff was friendly especially it was very enjoyable to drink on the roof.

An absolute must!
Brilliant place to visit, really interesting and so much more to do than just visit the distillery. The staff are fab and they make it fun. So much to see and do. I would definitely recommend this place to visit

YOU HAVE TO COME HERE!!
One of the BEST tours!! We had a mixed group (some beer lovers, some not!) But we all enjoyed it all the same! So lovely to see staff who LOVE their job. From the second we walked in to the second we left staff were warm, friendly and enthusiastic! We especially loved how when we asked questions the enthusiasm oozed out of them telling us all they knew! We didn't stop smiling/laughing the whole way round. Not wanting to spoil anything for anyone who hasn't been, but it was so much more than a 'museum' so many surprised around each corner, cannot recommend ENOUGH!!

Fun tour
Dolores was our guide. She was so friendly, informative and patient. We had booked the VIP tour. There was a max of 10 in the group. Dolores began the tour with 8. 4 of the group didn’t speak English so weren’t too happy that the tour was in english. We were about 10 minutes in and 2 others joined us. They were also unhappy as they had missed the beginning. I felt sorry for Dolores but her warmth and humour made the tour enjoyable. Those disgruntled guests seemed to relax and go with the flow. The history part of the tour lasted for about 50 minutes. We were all round the brewery, even up on the roof top for some spectacular views of Amsterdam. Part of the VIP tour is a tasting session in a secret bar. We had 5 beers along with paired snacks……fabulous. This was my first time trying beer. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Also, as part of the tour, we were given a personalised bottle of Heineken and two tokens to redeem in the general bar. It was incredibly busy when we arrived for our tour at 2pm so felt it was well worth a little extra to book the VIP tour.

Proost!
Well organized and executed tour. Some parts easy to self navigate, other parts were great having a tour guide for more explanation. Loved the displays and simple straightforward information regarding the family business. Wonderful sensory fun along the way and of course a free beer! Being celiac, of course I knew what I was getting into not being able to enjoy a complimentary Heineken. I appreciated the soft drink alternative but it will be extra special when there is a gluten free Heineken beer option!

Would highly recommend
Our VIP host was Kenley who was a delight. It was great to jump all the queues! The VIP bar was the highlight with five beers to sample plus accompanying nibbles. It was all very intuitive and certainly not rushed. After that it was another beer in a more communal area before two tokens each got us two final beers at the bar! We had an engraved bottle of Heineken zero as a parting gift. All in all it lasted around 2 hours. We both really enjoyed the whole experience.

Worth a visit
If you are in Amsterdam, then it is worth a visit. We found the brewing process very interesting. The rest of the experience is also good, plus you get to drink the product. We also went to the rooftop terrace, although other than the view didn’t add much. My wife doesn’t drink beer, but still found it interesting - she just would have preferred a beer-free cocktail at the rooftop bar!

A need to add to the itinerary
Loved this!!! I’m not a beer drinker and had no interest in going on this experience however my partner wanted to. I definitely do not regret this. Walked around the brewery, all staff knowledgable. Had 5 free beers (one after the “ride”, one at the challenge ( I won) and 3 at the bar as a kind man gifted myself and partner his tokens). Would definitely recommend this, soaked up a good few hours and the rooftop bar has wonderful views of Amsterdam.

A very interesting place to visit.
I did not buy my tickets on line in advance, luckily there was space available for later in the day. I thought it was a pretty good tour, I went here because I could not get tickets to the Anne Frank house exhibit and the Van Gough museum was closed.

Amazing experience
As a non lager drinker I was skeptical as to what to expect but I absolutely LOVED the experience! It was engaging fun and informative I had the best time (the included pints were a massive plus!) - i recommend anyone coming to Amsterdam to visit even if you aren’t a lager drinker we still had a ball one of the best things to do in Amsterdam

A must!
Would 100% recommend this when in Amsterdam! Such friendly and informative guides. We liked that you got to walk around at whatever pace you liked and just tune into the guide when you had caught up. Lovely building inside and out.

Great experience
My boyfriend and I came to Heineken experience in March 2024, it was a great experience and we are glad we did it. The tour is self guided which meant you could go as fast or slow as you liked. There was lots of interactive activities and you got a generous amount of beer. I paid €26 which included the rooftop experience. It was okay but not amazing the cocktails all have beer in so if you’re not a massive drinker like myself it might not be for you. It had a nice view though :)

Fun Experience for those Looking to Learn about Cultural Impact and History
The tour provided a great way to learn about the beer/breweries history! We especially enjoyed the staffs efforts to make it as enjoyable as possible (free-style rapping prior to trivia).

Very enjoyable couple of hours
Booked this on the basis it seemed something you had to do if you are visiting Amsterdam. And we were not disappointed. You are given 2 beer tokens for the bar at the end of the experience. Easy enough self guided tour. A small beer halfway around. 2 beers each at the bar which was really nice. Usual shop at the end but I thought very well priced so a few bits bought. Overall very enjoyable couple of hours

Julieta is a top notch employee
Only reason this review gets 5 stars is because of our personal guide, Julieta. She was amazing and provided us a smooth and wonderful, wheelchair accessible, experience throughout the brewery. Thank you for your patience, kindness, and opportunity to learn from you today.

Amazing experience!
It was a fabulous experience. The museum was very interesting and informative, and the staff were lovely and very kind. The beers on the way around the tour were terrific, as usual, with some extras up for grabs throughout. The Heineken cocktails in the rooftop bar were stunning. Even when we got back to the UK, we emailed asking for the ingredients so we could make our own, to which they responded immediately with the precise ingredients, which was excellent of them to do. We remade them but without the karaoke and view from the roof top bar, they didn’t feel the same but were still beautiful. Thank you for giving us such a special evening and recipes to share with our friends and family.

Best thing to do in Amsterdam
So much fun. Actually a hoot. Didn’t expect it to be as good. We spend hours in there and didn’t get board. The rooftop bar is a must as the view was lovely and all the staff were lovely and kind. Best experience. Great value for money

Can’t not go
Interesting, informative and interactive. Tour was provided in English and also time to wander freely was included as part of tour. Lifts available to get to different floors. Toilets and gift shop available. Tokens provided during tour for 2 glasses of Heineken to try afterwards in bar area. Some people may find the bar area a bit loud. An alcohol free option was also available to taste. We spent about 2 hours here.

Good experience if you love beer!
This was a good and interesting experience in Amsterdam. It takes a couple of hours to do and is mostly self-guided. The staff are great and you get 2 pints of Heinekin at the end to drink. It teaches you about the process of making beer which is interesting!

Interactive Beer Experience
A great day out in Amsterdam located right next a canal with boat trips available, the whole experience was very informative as well as being interactive. Included in the tour are 3 small Heineken beers for you to try! Staff are very friendly and will even let you pour your own beer. Would definitely recommend to tourists visiting amsterdam for the first time.

Free beer!
Self guided tour with lots of history about Heineken (the man and the brewery). Tons of free beer along the way and an enjoyable way to spend an afternoon

Couldn’t recommend enough!
A fab experience from start to finish!! Staff are very knowledgable and engaging. A very fun, interactive tour with lots to do and see. Top tip - Staff give out free drink tokens if you answer questions and have banter with them. The DJ at the bar at the end of the tour was fantastic! Great atmosphere & music! I’d say this tour is great for those who don’t drink Heineken too.

Excellent
We took and highly recommend the private (executive) tour. Only about 8 of us in the group for a private tour and tasting.

Heineken experience
Booked tour for 2.15pm and arrived about 2 hours early and they said it wasn't a problem and we could start our tour straight away. All staff were really helpful, informative and enthusiastic. It's a self guided tour, with stations where a guide will tell you all about it. It was all in English, with audio description available in different languages. You are given half a Heineken and they tell you the best way to drink it and what to look for in a very humorous way, then you go on the Heineken experience (which are big rooms where you become part of the process, through images on the walls or ceiling). A novel way of experiencing it. There are opportunities to buy a custom bottle (18 euros) or green screen pictures, which we didn't do. Finally you go to the bar, as you get 2 beer tokens included. 0% alcohol is available if you want it . Really enjoyed this experience and would recommend it.

Amazing visit on Friday 9th Feb 2024.
My wife & I had a fantastic visit, really enjoying ourselves, I would defo recomend to anyone visiting Amsterdam. The staff were amazing especially Mike, who went out of his way to walk with me up the steps, giving me a behind the scenes tour, as I am colostrophobic and was unable to use the lift to access the rooftop terrace. The beer was great. Thanks for a great time 👍🏴🍺

Fantastic visit
I was interested knowing the history of Heineken and the brewing. I would recommend once you’re in Amsterdam🍻. You actually got 2 tokens to chug beers. Very attractive.

A must if visiting Amsterdam!
Great experience - tour was self guided but there were a number of staff doing short talks as we walked along such as how Heineken is made, which gave the best of both worlds. The bar is definitely not high end and feels more like a nightclub but you get two Heinekens. From memory the price was reasonable. Following this we did the boat ride which was 30-45 mins and an enjoyable way to see Amsterdam and learn more about the history of Heineken plus the history of Amsterdam - would recommend paying the extra for this!

brilliant - 3 drinks included 🍺
Had the best time here. Really friendly tour guides for the first part of the tour, and then the majority is self guided. Got 3 drinks included, and loved the interactive parts of the tour - you get to download all your photos and videos from the photobooths for free which we loved 🥰

Brilliant
Absolutely brilliant! Really immersive and interesting, great gift shop and the beer was lovely. Definitely recommend as something to do on your trip to Amsterdam even if you don't drink beer.

Fantastic piss up. Don't go if you value sobriety.
A really great day out. We weren't expecting much, but when we saw the Heineken sign whilst wandering Amsterdam we decided to visit. There are hosts in the foyer encouraging you to get your bags dropped off and guiding you to the tour start area. You then get to wander a relatively boring exhibit and a pointless interactive experience to learn more about the history of the brewery and the bottling process. Then you get to the tasting area and the fun begins. Whilst we were heading round, a member of the team gave us some wristbands for the rooftop bar which also somehow ended up with us receiving a ton of free drinks. Valentina took us through the Heineken pulling experience and taught us to draught our own beer. Julieta was behind the counter and got chatting to us whilst also plying us with too much free Heineken. The team as a whole were extremely friendly and really chatty. After several pints we then decided to head to the rooftop bar with a Canadian and some Spanish lads that we met on the tour. When we got upstairs, the Karaoke ceremony master Mathias had us singing and was generally getting the whole tour group riled up and drinking. This went on for another hour or 2, before we headed to the rooftop itself for some incredible views out over the city centre and an opportunity to get some fresh air. We only went in for a quick pint and ended up staying for 5+ hours. It was a really good day out but don't think it's an innocuous brewery tour. It really felt like a proper night out!

One of our favourite experiences!
One of the best experiences of our trip. Really enjoyed this experience, they have put a lot of time and money into creating the best experience for you including interactive experiences, it was very informative through displays and Audio from staff, they also have a photo opportunity at the end which allows you to send the photos to your phone via QR code rather than paying expensive prices which I thought was a nice touch. The drinks included make it good value for money as you do receive slightly more than advertised. Staff were very accommodating to the different languages, and were enthusiastic throughout. Only criticism would be the lack of seating in the bar at the end to enjoy your Heinekens, but this was minimal on the day

Really worth it!

Time Well $pent
On my wife’s insistence, I grudgingly tagged along with our group of 8. Definitely worth the admission; I was pleasantly surprised by the interactive displays. We were a mix of beer or wine drinkers so some of us inherited plenty of tokens for hospitality samples at the end. A bit of a Buz to guard against the cold air outside. Check it out.

worth the visit
We visited as a couple and really enjoyed ourselves. The tour is very interesting and there is plenty to see, on arrival you recieve tokens which can be used to get free beer at the end of the tour. Overall worth seeing and good value for money.

Heineken VIP experience was worth it.
We did the VIP tour with Tom a fellow brummy and honestly really enjoyed the tour and group we was put into. I’m not a larger drinker and found many of the largers surprisingly nice, it was a nice touch to get a personalised bottle at the end of the tour. Tom is very knowledgeable about the business and the making of Heineken he made the trip very fun and actually spoke to everyone to make them feel welcome. I definitely recommend VIP and visiting the Heineken Experience for sure
