VAN GOGH MUSEUM Amsterdam
The collection includes over 200 paintings, 500 drawings and more than 700 letters from the artist, provided on permanent loan by the Vincent van Gogh Foundation. The collection of around 500 Japanese prints that Vincent and his brother Theo assembled, is also held by the museum, as well as major works by other 19th-century artists: contemporaries and friends of Van Gogh such as Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec and Paul Gauguin, and earlier masters whom he admired, including Jean-Francoise Millet and Léon Lhermitte.
