This full day program combines the highlights of Amsterdam with the lovely countryside north of Amsterdam. In the morning you will visit the “Zaanse Schans”, a picturesque windmill village with green timbered houses. Here we will visit a cheese farm where cheese still is being made in the traditional way. In Volendam you will have time for lunch in a nice fish restaurant before we continue to Marken by boat (included in price). After visiting a local traditional clog maker we will return by bus to Amsterdam. In the afternoon, you will continue with a city tour in Amsterdam. This extensive tour includes the Royal Palace, the Mint Tower, the flower market, the  Jewish quarter with the flea market, the museum quarter, the charming Jordaan quarter with the Western Church and more. We will also show you the harbor and the infamous “Red Light District”. A visit to a historic diamond factory is also part of the tour (free drink included).
